What deodorant/Anti perspirant do you use for work.

    Hola,

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057599136 This is a very similar thread.What deodorant/anti perspirant/ after shave/ do you wear to work. Lets assume the starting point is a shower daily and fresh clothes.

    I prefer a subtle smell, so what do you use? I read a lot of negative comments for lynx etc.

    None. Don't think it's necessary if you're clean and not naturally smelly.

    I don't like sprays. They suffocate me. Rolls on make me too wet. I use the cream anti perspirant.

    I still don't understand your reasoning. You only wear it at work because it reminds you of work?

    I have socks I only wear for work, shoes I only wear for work, duds I only wear for work, a coat I only wear to work so not a big leap for me to have a deodorant I only wear for work. Possibly quite odd but I've done this for the 20 years I've been doing my current job. So I can disassociate everything else from work.

    le male jean paul gaultier, one million paco rabanne, armani code sport and givency play, roll on deodourant that doesn't really have a smell and less than a 1 spray of any of those that I'm going though at the moment, if other people mention it you've got too much on

    Buying a bottle of something nice and using a tiny amount and stretching it over 5 years is so much better than people who buy cheap smelly stuff and pour it on, all of the scented deodourants are disgusting and just stain clothes and generally smell awful, use something with no smell and then put on a bit of perfume stuff

    Fair enough. I wear the same clothes to work as I do to the pub or to head into town so I don't get the mindset.

    The fact that you call it your current job even though you've been doing it for two decades speaks volumes about how much you want to leave.

    Sure roll on, or, if it gets very hot, like it did for a spell back in the summer of 2014, you can't beat Mitchum stick antiperspirant.

    I've used mostly Dove stick deodorant for YEARS, possibly since it first came out, but I find it can be hard to wash out of the seams of bras. As it's basically a solid cream, it tends to get right into the seams where your bra rubs against your underarms and a 40deg was can have trouble shifting it. But I find it effective and I like the smell too. Mitchum stick deodorant is effective, but is worse than Dove to try and wash out of bras!!

    Always hated roll on, it's too wet, and I use sprays too, but find myself choking on the haze, and the whole place smells of deodorant for the day :) I have been known to buy unscented if I want to wear perfume so the smells aren't competing, and occasionally the stuff that doesn't leave white marks on dark clothes if I need it.

    But Dove would be my go-to.

Now I was a bit dense when it came to chemistry, but even my limited knowledge tells me that the chemicals in it are breaking down from the instant it's applied, so that by the 47th hour it's nowhere near as effective as it was in the first hour.

    I use Sure, Mitchum or Dove most of the time for work, not too bothered about the brand. I prefer a subtle smell.

    On weekends etc I prefer to use a deodorant that doesn't contain aluminium salts, but I don't find them strong enough if I'm out all day.

    A lot of the time I'm on my feet, in a suit in a warm environment (17-26°c), rushing around, little opportunity for casually rehydrating myself at the water cooler... you better believe I use Deodorant! I'm on a Dove creamy one at the moment which I think is meant for ladies but it does the job well

    L'Oréal Men Expert anti perspirant. Sweet yet subtle. How anyone can go out the door without using anti perspirant is beyond me.

    I don't use any anti-perspirant ever. The thoughts of not being able to sweat naturally freaks me out.

    I use Sanex in the shower and some scented moisturiser after and that's me. Sometimes I wear perfume but, only the one brand which is expensive so it depends on the finances whether I use it or not.

    I make my own.. warm distilled water, Epsom salts, baking soda and a few drops of essential oils.. scent of choice.. costs pennies to make cos I've all the ingredients at home and it's better than any deodorant I've ever bought, doesn't have any nasties like aluminium. You can buy it in health shops for about E7..

    I use Clinique for men, excellent products. And the best thing is they are fragrance free, so there is no smelly crap added that most other products have.

    As for what I shower with, it's Sanex or Nivea as well, the sensitive or 0% stuff.

    I use two together always, Nivea 48h anti-perspirant and hollister So cal or newport beach deodorant (both spray never got people using roll on and you cant spray it on your clothes then either).

    A lot of people don't have a shower everyday though but that said you would be applying the anti-antiperspirant more than once in 48h even if you don't shower everyday (i.e. in the morning before work and then the next morning before work also even if you haven't had a shower).
