Its the owners right to do what they want with the cars but its a real shame - I'd love that 911/912 with the tarpaulin folded up neatly on it. The road to hell and all that.... Is it a US spec car?

    jaysus

    those porsches , what a waste !!!!!!

why dos,ent he at least cover them up

  • Registered Users Posts: 357 ✭✭3nero

im not sure why they're not covered and i don't know if the 911/912 is a yank spec it's had a small fire. they are in a friends back garden, trust me if they where any good they wouldn't be sitting like that. they are parts cars. better to see them there than on a slow boat to china :o

That's a nice early Passat. Had one of those in the early eighties back in Holland, same nice shade of orange too and also a two door... very solid, reliable and quite nice to drive. Never let me done once :-)

I'd say that Porsche is beyond rescue indeed. Looks like they tried to change the 911 into a turbo replica with wide wheel arch extension and whale tail. Non original seat sticking through. The chrome window frames on the side would suggest late seventies-ish...
A half decent 911/912 is easy enough to pick up for around 10-15k and it would be a lot more 'economic' in the long run than trying to bring a bad one back to life, you'd easily spend 20-30k and you'd still not have it right...
