Ive really enjoyed ATH since BH brought it to the forum , and it would be a shame if it discontinued because Bounty does not have the time to run it anymore. So after talking with BH Ive decided to take over the reigns of ATH [ its not like i could win anyway , even after 5 attempts ] .

Hopefully we'll get some good numbers for the event. Good luck to all who participate.If someone who is not participating would like to give me some suggestions for questions, Ive still got at least one question i need to create.

Around The Horn(ATH) is an american show on ESPN where a number of panelists/experts make arguments an a certain topic. The host awards points for each response depending on how well argued their point is, not necessarily if he agrees with their point (although that helps) but how well they back up their argument. Obviously the winner is the person with the highest number of points at the end of the show. This format should work quite well here if anyone is interested, after all there are a number of people here where many like to think of themselves as experts on all things wrestling related, so this is a chance to prove it.

The first of 5 topics will be posted on tomorrow evening (Thursday) and you will have two days before round two (so four days now to decide on participation and enter your first answer). If you need info on the rules check the above links to the previous threads, but here is a brief rundown of them:

I post a topic and you have to post your response including why you made that choice within 48hrs (before the next round begins), take care while making your responses however as other contestants can counter your argument i.e pointing out possible flaws in what you've said.

*you can only counter an argument once, although you can counter as many different peoples arguments as much as you want (but only once each). if someone's defense of their argument is not good it will count against them plus someone else might continue to question it in your place.

*You can use the same answer as a previous poster if you wish i.e you agree with their choice however its hard to win a debate when your making the same points someone has already made

each poster is marked out of 20 each round for a total of five rounds. If you miss a round (it happens) you can still submit an answer to that rounds question however because you missed the deadline in between rounds your late answer will only be marked out of 10.

Round 1 :How would you Handle Mick Foley's Entrance into TNA? What capacity would you have him in and why ?

I'm not going to be able to take part, I haven't really got the time at the moment to commit

If i were to Bring Mick Foley into TNA i'd bring him in as just plain Mick Foley.

I believe Jim Cornette is playing 'Commissioner' at the moment?

I'd write a show in such a way that Cornette makes a decision that is deemed unfair, and because of this, TNA bring in Mick Foley to be a Co-Commissioner with Cornette.

For his TV debut i would have no hype around it. I know everyone in the world with an internet connection knows Foley is with TNA, however, when Foley comes out to take the Co-Commissioner job, i would have Cornette act completely surprised by it.

In the long run, the idea would be to have skits playing throughout the shows where Foley and Cornette are making decisions about the shows. Cornette would be a pure wrestling fan, whereas Foley would be constantly going for gimmick matches and so forth. Eventually id have the characters playing as though Cornette absolutely can't stand Foley, but puts up with him, and Foley is really clingy to cornette, unintentionally driving him insane with ridiculous ideas (although foley would sell the ideas as though he really believed in them). It could be very entertaining for a few months, and when it starts to die off, Foley could make get a little abusive of his power and a TNA wrestler gets fed up and challenges him to a match.

I'd go with the commissioner role because Foley is naturally funny and i think people would really like to see him interact with the TNA Roster in comedic ways.
