I doubt its a pure breed, but i can say it is the same colour as my basset hound and has (judging poorly by the pic) rather large paws like a basset..

Looks like the German (working) hunting breed "Deutsch Kurzhaar" (german shorthair :D)

They do come in different colours though

Yeh he is gorgeous isnt he. Its a friend of a friends dog (pic there on facebook) and id normally be fairly good with breeds and telling if theyre crossbred or not, but stumped on this but i agree..

Ooh Egar you couldve hit the nail on the head there. Ive never heard of that breed and the pic of that dog was taken in Italy so it could be a common continental breed we wouldnt really see here.

Sorry, off topic, but what's the spoiler thingy? What's it used for?

    Socket,
The spoiler is mainly used to make it optional for other posters to read the information, but also has other uses, eg. the element of surprise! If you double click on the grey line and drag the pointer across you can view the message beneath it. :)

    What maggie23 said there :pac:

No i hadnt a clue what breed it was...it didnt look quite right for a German Pointer so i thought it may have been a crossbreed thats all!

It doesn't look like a Bracco to me at all, I know the breed and recently had a BI pup in rehoming. They are alot chunkier and the back of their nose is heavy set and wrinkled, almost like a Bloodhound.

    Here is Otis the pup:

Oh that's mad!!!! Bit like those invisible ink pens and magic markers.... Cool little feature to have!
    Thanks for explaining Maggie!
