Christmas Present for a dog...

Yes really

My neighbour sons who is ill and 14 has told his mum he doesn't want a Christmas present but wants her to buy him some Christmas presents for his dog.

She asked me to have a look online for something. I've never had a dog so have no idea where to start but I'd like to help.I was trying to think of something fun as the owner is only 14 but the only choices seem to be teddy bears and squeaky toys.

Is there anything fantastic out there that the dog might like and that might put a smile on the face of a 14year old owner? Otherwise is there anything practical that a dog owner would appreciate? I don't think she can spend too much so that's a consideration too.

www.zooplus.ie have lots of good toys, they have a puzzle type thing where by you put food under sliding blocks and the dog has to try get them out. Good mental stimulation for hte dog....i think they are abt 20 quid
kongs are also good, dogs really love them.

Thanks a million to everyone for those suggestions. I will print all of them out and see what his mum thinks but I think some look really good and I wouldn't have found them myself at all.

Blueprint : The puzzle looks like a great idea and considering that he'll be stuck in the house alot something like that could be fun for the kid and the dog!Just hope he has a clever dog now .

Where all the xmas decs are..got it about 2 or 3 weeks ago so id say theyll fly off the shelves. They had little santa doggy jackets and cute xmassy collars for cats too.
