Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cannot Sign In to Google, Gmail, Xbox - Please Help

    Hi there,

hope someone can help me with this one.

Bought a new netbook for Christmas - ASUS Eee PC (using this to post now)

Managed to hook it up to the wireless network in the house and can surf the net BUT only when the website I'm looking for is typed into the \URL line at the top.

I have Google set as the homepage but whenever I enter search criteria in the search box it just pops up a blank Google page. I have tried other search engines i.e. DOGPILE.COM and YAHOO and they both produce search results for me.
When I try to sign into Google or gmail it pops up -

INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE
    DIAGNOSE CONNECTION PROBLEMS

I get this for a number of sites including Xbox sign in too

I am somewhat computer literate but this is really bugging me. My home LAN is a Netopia EIRCOM router with the ususal 4 LAN connections (LAN1, LAN 2, LAN 3, LAN 4). I already have 3 PC's and laptop running on this setup (not simultaneously obviously - and all working perfectly as usual). I thought maybe adding the new netbook might have caused a problem (i.e adding a fifth machine) but why then is it able to connect and bring up webpages typed into the URL line

Hope somebody can shed some light on this for me
