If Kay Gee Bee or Light from Mars are fourth somebody's dead!!

    Edit: if that's fourth :mad::mad::mad:

And he would've won only for the start!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

3rd kay, 4th light from mars

:( no money back from PP cause no 2nd place for either. can't complain cause of the winner earlier!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

Light from Mars was finishing well after blowing the start.

prob. killed his price next start. but lets see. the market can be amnesic sometimes if you wait long enough.

The other thing about horses like that is that that race was the plan, if you know what I mean.

I just posted the stats for the Pricewise Column. Huge profit on his last 42 bets in the paper and bombing on PWE
    http://pricewiseextra.info/stat-of-the-day/

An interesting long losing sequence after he had the 40/1 winner though.

yeh, then you have to 2nd guess their intentions. do they want a price or just the prize money. i think ts's ex selections are always worth keeping an eye on though. lorum leader looked to be a contender today till he fell, i thought.

    Jagoes Mills
    3.30 Fairyhouse
    1pt win at 9-1

Same as Gary O'Brien on ATR so hopefully a winner.

Very surprised by the tip today, studied the race last night and I really didn't fancy this one.
I don't think he'll reverse the form with Kempes. I can't trust Zaarito's jumping so I've backed Kempes and Shakervilz myself.

    PS. always trust Tom

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

lmao only 3 finishers in that race, was so good to watch. didnt bet on it :>

You got that part right. The winner was 75 on betfair

I think Segal will have one for the Irish Grand National.

This is cut from Tom's article this morning:
[QUOTE=What a weekend! The National and the Masters, my two favourite sporting events, on the same
day. Can’t reveal my Nash fancy yet but Lee Westwood at 25-1 looks good at Augusta
    [/QUOTE]

That would lead you to believe he will have something available.

Thanks winslow, but is that English national or Irish national?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

Andrew Barr is on tomorrow for Pricewise Extra and Tom is bound to have one for the Irish National. Plus he will be on duty on Thurs/Friday/Sat for Aintree.
Interesting stats for Barr I just posted.
    http://pricewiseextra.info/
    Hes starting to come good.

    "In Monday's newspaper . . .
PRICEWISE: Tom Segal is in form and feared by the bookies - can you afford to miss his Irish National advice?"

Tom will definetley have a tip for the Irish national, the racing post say so themselves on their website.

pointbreak, why don't you get the racing post delivered to your door by your friendly neighbourhood paperboy, divide the cost up and charge us regulars a sub on your site. we'd need any important info up before about 8am though. :)

In the weekender - wednesday 31st March - he was sure today's Irish national would be amuddy affair slugged out by dour stayers on lower weights and named three contenders (which isnt bad given the declaration/weather/other events - apparently somewhere called 'THE GRAND' is also having some kind of big race over a distance and some fences): Hangover, Alpha Ridge and Telenor.

I know it's late but I couldnt be fecked.

He also railed against that desert fiasco in Dubai as a meaningless jolly for hack journalists.

i've invested in his guineas picks...pollenator and awzaan simply
because anything can win the guineas and it's a nightmare
    race for me.
Thanks for the pricewise extra info links pointbreak.
It's a real eye opener for the likes of myself

Not really. Pricewise is in the paper on Saturday and Sunday and when there is a big race or a big meeting during the week. This week it will be Thursday for the start of the Grand National meeting at Aintree.

PP are paying 4 places in the 3.45 and Boyles have money back if your horse is second beaten by the favourite in the 4.20!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 227 ✭✭GampDub

No luck with PW first two of the day... he tips two in the next. Might go for a small bet on the larger of the two!!

I think Tom is taking after Mel C these days! Probably won`t have another winner for weeks now, not like the old days when he would have two or three winners on a week end!! ;)

I'd much prefer it if the likes of TS and HT avoided these big jumps races, there is value elsewhere with much greater chance of picking a winner in my book.

i feel the same way, it seems like they are forced into it rather then making their own choices.
