Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Problems with ordering Eircom e-Fibre online

Hi - has anyone had the same issue as me?

I ordered e-Fibre online (my area is enabled) looking for the "Advanced" package (€30 for first 6 months). Then I get a welcome e-mail saying that I had ordered the "Unlimited" package (€35 for first 6 months). I called and was told that I had probably selected the wrong package by accident.
So I cancelled that order (within my cooling off period) and set up another order (being very careful to select "Advanced"), and what do you know I then get an e-mail welcoming me to Eircom and confirming my selection of "Unlimited"!!
I called Eircom today and an agent told me that I should leave everything as is and that once installed they could downgrade me for no charge - he said it was written in the Ts&Cs, but he could not locate where it was written in the T's&C's.
So I decided to go onto chat to see if they could confirm no downgrade charge and I could at least e-mail a copy of that to myself. I was told (by the e-Fibre specialist) that I would incur a €25 downgrade charge - for the privilege of getting a package that I wanted in the first place!!
After over 1 hour of Eircom Customer Service I have again cancelled my order. Although this time I was told it would take a month to cancel.

Is it too much to ask for a "right first time" experience? I would love to try their e-Fibre, but they clearly do not want me as a customer :(
