It's funny, when PBH was in the hot seat, Hugh Ormand was producing. Now that Joe's back, the Yew fella is back as well? I wonder does Yew take his holliers at the same time as Joe, so to speak? Or if Hugh and Yew are related, given the nepotisim we're led to believe is rife in rte?

Good man, dont give a penny/cent.....

And don’t pay your mortgage either, the world owes you a living

at least you have a house at the end of a mortgage - not sure what you end up after paying lawyers only broke?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,519 ✭✭✭Mike Guide 69

Lawyers more than likely doing a classic "overinflating" the fees, typical, fair play to him....

Well I know, if I had to priortise between paying the mortgage or the lawyers, I defintely would be focusing on my house, thats for sure....

Ya, but when you die (God forbid) they'll be waiting like vultures for their pound of flesh.

€70k or whatever it was from one person in a none contested divorce is a total ripoff.
I don't blame the guy for not paying.

    Dan Jaman wrote: »
"Inadvertantly" does not mean "unavoidably", Joe; and I hardly think the woman got an accidental divorce.

Ah go easy on Joe, English is not his first language. It's like when Joe said "Shure I've been here all summer" doesn't actually mean he was there all summer.....

Words just mean what Joe wants them to mean. Dat Big Buke of Worms an Dat was a real find.

Were you reading dat buke yerself caller? :pac:

If there's anything I've learned in working life, it's that HR departments are of absolutely no use whatsoever for employee welfare issues. They are in my experience purely to protect the company from employee risk of any manner.

    +1
    Hear Hear

I asked our HR to fill out a salary cert for a mortgage application
    Basic Pay
    Bonus

She took it on herself to write in the margin "this bonus is not guaranteed" even though they never asked either way

    What a C word.
In my experience lot of hr depts operate as almost attack dogs/enforcers for the operation

I could tell you some stories....

Every county from Dublin to Cork has signs saying they are in Irelands Ancient East
Irelands Middle Earth would be more fitting

Do yisser all remember the show a few years ago where the topic of De Gestapo came up? Duffy being Duffy contrived his own pronunciation and made it de "JIZZ-stappo", and den doubled down on it with his pronunciation of d"Swoss-TEEK-ah". Clown.

    Of course! Of course!

From memory, he had about 12 weeks off. I didn’t have De Estimated Fees feature then, but it’s wildly out of date and underestimating his outrageous and disgusting remuneration anyway given the way RTE only release the presenter fees years after the event so to speak.

I’ll try and dig out de last wan of 2-17 for you later and dat so to speak.
