How come you never see men in pajamas wandering around the shops, then? I've only seen people in pajamas a few times in supermarkets and it really puts me off shopping there and then. Not sure why, maybe it's because they justgot out of bed or cannot be bothered to dress.

I love hoe much people will stand up and defend the right to free cpeech and freedom of expression in this country all the way, to death if needs be...

... unless there's pyjamas being worn outdoors!!

Seriously? Who the **** cares? As long as they;re not naked.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

The pajamas were worn indoors in a supermarket.

Its their culture no matter it is anything they dream up.

    Racist towards your own nationality.

I'm confused can I say hi anymore or would that be classed as abuse of some sort.

They are now terms which are used to counter an argument, when people have no actual clue about what is being debated.

''Hungover at 7pm while looking for milk for the baaaby'', Who are we to disagree when she describes this as her 'culture'.

Disgusting clothing to be wearing shopping, will be a smell of benji off them unless it's a 2nd set they have just for shopping in.

I saw a couple of women wearing pajamas in the supermarket one summer sunday morning.
What made me wonder though was I could see the outline of their bra straps on their back. So they must have removed their tops, put bra on and then gone out to the shops. (unless they slept uncomfortably in their bras?).

Why bother...if you are removing your top - just get dressed properly.

I don't sleep in pyjamas, I wear me boxers going to bed.

The odd time I'll pop down to spar for a sliced pan or a litre of milk in me boxers.

    I'm all for cultural enrichment.

Some settled community members wear pyjamas shopping, is it racist towards them if someone critics it? Or does racism only apply when it's smaller minority groups.

I usually wear my pajamas to go shopping for outdoor clothes and wear my outdoor clothes while I'm shopping for pajamas. Keeps 'em guessing.

I think the women in the article are idiots. I would never leave the house in pyjamas. But, I think it's a ridiculous reason to get so angry at people and I couldn't give a crap if people wear pyjamas when out and about. My local shop had (or has? I haven't looked recently) a sign on the door saying no pyjamas as it has been a problem here. I think it's the least of anyone's worries here tbh and any notions that stopping pyjama wearing will heal all the other ills is bullsh1t.

It's not as bad as it used to be, but when I used to cycle through central Dublin maybe 5/6 years ago, the pyjama thing was endemic, at all hours of the day and night. I guess it got on my nerves because it was only inner city folk who did this. It's bad enough they haven't worked for generations, but it kind of feels like they're rubbing their laziness and sense of entitlement right in your face by not even bothering to get dressed to leave their houses. Anyway, I haven't seen it in ages, maybe they've mostly copped on.

It's definitely not just inner city. And plenty of my local pyjama wearers work!

I do be in the same shop a few times a month as a woman who wears her jams doing a full trolley shop. She wears the nightgown and slippers. There probably isn't a smell off her but as we pass each other from aisle to aisle I hold my breath. She has her hair tried up with fresh hair dye on her forehead to top it off.Every time.

I don't really care but the looks off other people is gas.

I used to work in a supermarket would get the odd pyjama wearer in, never got a smell off them particularly but often got a smell off people wearing clothes...

A blatant attack on their culture. Did he not know of the ancient traveller tradition of wearing your pyjamas to the shops? Bare knuckle fights in pyjamas and epic sprints between horses in pyjamas pulling sulkies, them be the days.

My people are descended from the ancient Phoenicians who regularly used to cavort naked in the marketplace, and I'll dance naked in the aisles if I want to. #respectmyrights #itsmybodysofeckoffwithyoureveryoneshouldwearclothesmentality :pac:

    I don't know why

I wear a bra to bed because I wear an E-F cup and find it uncomfortable lying on my stomach without a bra on. They are quite heavy and flip flop when I'm turning! Therefore, I like to keep the puppies in place when I'm trying to sleep.

I only go to bed bra-less if I am partaking in a spot of rumpy pumpy....then it's freeeedom!!!!!!

What they are saying then is that wearing pajamas around in the is shops is a characteristic of the travelling community, and that they are different than the rest of society. Not, every demographic wears pajamas outdoors, why pick on us !

I don't understand your comment. Why is it ok to do so in public?

And to go further and share the photo online, in a humiliating manner.

Looks a bit sloppy and the racism claim is predictably hilarious but what kind of weirdo cares so much about it to virtually launch a campaign like that.

The photographer should get made have a square fight against them. Say they'd kill him with one hand tied behind their backs :D

If you've made the effort to leave the house to go shopping, why can't you make the relatively minor effort to pull up a pair of jeans / jogging pants before you leave?

I don't understand the thinking behind it at all. Would you not be embarrassed going out in public in your nightwear? In days gone by, such behaviour may well have seen you committed to an asylum for the feeble minded.

It is pretty obvious that the aggrieved complainant had a very regimented upbringing, probably works long hours in a uniformed job that he hates and resents intensely or came from a strict, uptight and judgmental family background.

The two ladies were doing nothing wrong and it is infinitely better behavior than
some mainstream community members who steal things, leave chilled items out of their proper storage areas when they "change their minds", ask the harried till operators to change items in a check out queue delaying everybody else in the queue, engage in inane and unnecessary small talk delaying other people in the queue, start fumbling in their bags for money when its time to pay etc....
