Great phone for a kid. Only issue is that 1GB would make it excruciatingly slow!

Ill probably pick one up. Anyone know what charges customs and handling would apply to this as its only available shipped from China?

Not much as customs limit is €23. They might not even bother seeing as it's only a bit over the limit.

    Thanks OP
Just ordered one as a bit of a stocking filler - hopefully it will arrive in time for Christmas......still waiting on bits from 6 or 8 weeks ago!! I love the element of surprise when postie arrives with a wee packet from China - I have usually completely forgotten the order:-)

cheap phone but with 8gb internal storage, after android, all the automatic install google apps and whatever the phone maker puts on it you will very little room for installing apps. you'd probably have a couple of gb left for use. adding an sd card won't solve that as apps will still use internal memory even if they are set to external sd card storage.

so would only be useful for someone who is realistically going to install a very small number of apps with a small app size.

I'd spend another 20 dollars to get a phone with 16gb internal storage and 2gb ram.

I'd assume you can use an SD and format as internal storage. It would be impossible to use otherwise. My kids struggle with 16gb with all the games they download.

Hmmmm, I don't know if this phone will support using an SD card as internal storage..

Any recommendation? I thought the external SD card would do for the apps, shows what I know:eek:

It was supposed to be, but in most cases, only on stock android. If there's any sort of manufacturer ROM, it's usually not available.

Rubbish, this crap is always posted here.

I'm using an original Moto G with 1 GB ram, 8 gig rom now and not a bother in it.

I have a Ulefone Metal. have it around 6 months and the battery has become really bad. The other day I charged it when I got into work (8am). Charged it again in college (8pm), unplugged it around 9:30pm (at 100%). Got home around 10pm. Used it a little for browsing at 48%. Next time I looked at the battery a few minutes later, 16%. Stopped browsing and put phone down so it'd last and got ready for bed. Picked up phone to check time and it had died.

Plugged it in beside my bed, 10 minutes later it was at 40%.

Seems to be ok from 100% to around 80%. Gets worse between 80% and 50%. Below 50% it can just drop like a stone depending on what you're doing.

I'm not a heavy user either, regular use. Not sure what I expected for €100. Pity really as the phone itself is decent.

    I've ordered a Moto G5 Plus.

as far as Chinese phones go I'd only trust Xiaomi really at the budget level to actually end up with a good phone that will work well consistently.

I'd recommend the redmi note 5a. you can get it for 120 euro from euglobal
    It's made by xiaomi.
16gb storage (about 10gb available to use).
    2gb ram
    qualcomm cpu.
