    Can someone answer this please.

I haven't setup this yet, but have the slightly older model which I'd assume is the same.
It's simple to swap between them, press "Channel List" button on the remote, then the red button, then select Freesat or Digital(Saorview).

If anyone else has a code they're not using in and around the Dublin, Meath, Kildare area I'd really appreciate it.

Slightly off topic but I need a kit like the one linked below to extend my sat cable to reach the back of my new TV :) Anyone know where I could pick one up around the Sandyford area? Woodies out of stock.

cheers for the heads up on this OP. I picked it up in Swords yesterday, I briefly took it out of the box...it's massive.

It's going back in the box for another couple of months until we move into our new house, it's much too large for where we are at the moment.

    Congrats!

On a personal note, mine is due for pickup in Dundrum this week.

This would be the ideal setup for the 55" LG :-)

P.S Heard an Argos guy say he thought the price could be put back up higher tomorrow.

How easy is it to flip between Saorview and Freesat on these LGs?

So iv connected to satellite this evening. Seems to be very annoying to switch from antenna to satellite. Have to go through the main menu. Unless I'm doing something wrong.

Also is the freesat epg supposed to be on this tv? I tuned the satellite but channels are just all over the place

Why is it that the Tele is in the clonmel Argos for 768 but online is out of stock at 519 same Tele!

Maybe they didn't adjust it on the actual shelf, but I think it would scan at lower price?

Can anyone confirm if the freesat epg should be available on this? Iv updated software but still no joy

Do I need to choose uk as my setup country or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 773 ✭✭✭fmul9798

I remember way back when I had a freesat box,I had to set the location to UK along with a postal code so that freesat populated the correct channel variants for that UK postcode. If this set is actually freesat,
    Maybe that is the problem?

If you enter a northern Ireland postcode you won't receive ITV 1 HD.

Thanks I'll try a London postcode maybe. When I scanned for saorview channels also they were laid out in perfect order without needing to modify anything, hopefully this will still be the case when I switch to UK

Some stock in Longford, but seem to be reserved like hot cakes. Went from 5 available to 2 while I was trying to reserve.

*Edit: Longford out now, Tullamore has 1 left

    Freesat automatically
arranges the channels into different categories, news movies, entertainment etc..

What the thoughts on the TV from those that have it?

50hz and edge lit made me pass but was in 2 minds, alot of the techie stuff is bull in reality and if set up right theirs little difference.

Just wondering could someone who has the TV confirm the size of the box as I may need to borrow a car with a bigger boot than mine when collecting.

Got this off the LG website: Size W/ Carton, With Stand 1360 x 835 x 152
