I also got the Azalia for a month and even though it's said it's the same I got sore boobs from it while I don't have this problem with the Cerazette. Glad though that the Cerazette is back in stock again.
I'd love my man getting the snip but won't happen for another while because he doesn't feel ready yet and I couldn't come off the Cerazette anyway because I'm taking it for medical reasons and it makes my life so much easier.

I have no bloating problem with the Cerazette, in fact it got better on the pill.
I take it because I have lethal periods, the ones that knock me off my feet and make me vomit from pain and I bleed way too much. Thanks to a hormone disorder I also get migraines of death that are linked to my non existent cycle.

With the Cerazette, all gone and I really get to enjoy life so much more.

Give it a shot, if you can't cope you need to figure out anyway if it's worth it.

Sorry for the stupid question all but is there any contraceptive that doesn't cause weight gain?

I have never been on anything before but thought I'd speak to the dr about it due to bad PMS/pain but I'm worried about weight gain tbh as I suffered from an ED when I was younger and weight gain sets it off :(

I lost weight when I went on the pill. Went off it for a few months (put on weight) and then lost weight again when I went back on it. Other people I know that have been on my pill have put on weight. So it’s different for everyone really! The pill seems to have different side effects for everyone. Talk to your gp about it and see what they say. :)

Any hormonal contraception carries the risk of increasing your appetite.

You can look into non hormonal alternatives? Barrier contraceptives or the copper coil?

Thanks both :) if the issue is increased appetite then its not too big a deal as I'm very active. I just heard that on the pill you out on a lot of weight even if exercising/eating properly.

Unfortunately non hormonal contraceptives are indicated for period issues which is my reason for looking into this!

I will discuss this with my gp, there are so many I'm truly overwhelmed just by myself really :)

So glad I've a penis. My gf changed to the coil from the pill and she said it's working a lot better. Less moody anyways :)

I haven't put on weight with the pill but with the injection, I piled on weight rapidly for the first time in my life. As in I went up two stone in a month or two without a change in appetite (as well getting so spotty you could play connect the dots all over me). It stopped increasing when I went off it and has stabilised but I never went back down.

Is anyone on progestogen only Azalia and how do you find it?

My new doctor prescribed me this instead of my Microlite today because I mentioned that I get cyclical headaches. She asked if I get aura with migraine. I have but it was about 4 years since I've had that. Anyway she said you shouldn't be on a pill containing estrogen if you've ever had a migraine with aura!

Edit: read the thread after posting and see a few experiences with Azalia there. I'll give it a try and see how it goes anyway.
