Ryanair took delivery of their 500th Boeing 737-800 today, making them the largest operator of the variant in the world and there's many more to follow.

Here it is arriving in Dublin:- https://flic.kr/p/25sp7jB

Super milestone for them. Irish people not into aviation often forget just what a behemoth Ryanair is.
Southwest and Ryanair combined have pretty much keep that production line operating.

Surprised they didn't do a special livery for the 500th.

That would cost money, MOL would have sleepless nights trying to figure out who'd pay for it.:D:D:D

I'm sure Boeing offered to pay for special livery , but he probably took a discount instead !

perhaps there's a bit of inverse snobbery about, not shouting about it ,

and therefore not being seen to be too big for your boots , culturally Irish thing not to Bragg .

What I find amazing is that looking at the 738 production lists, and about 7% of them are, or were at one point, in the Ryanair fleet. That is not something to be sniffed at, and shows just what has been done with an airline that for a long time flew a fleet of rickety second hand 732's (that I will always have a soft spot for)

Anyone who took up spotting in the late 70s , like myself, i think, will find this amazing. I remember going to the UK by boat , to go spotting, beause we couldnt afford to fly. It is amazing that they have grown to this size, and is something for the irish aviation industry to be take great pride in

Wrong livery and wouldn't be operating at that part of the airport. Your remark is pointless to put it politely

You took my comment a little bit too seriously to put it politely :p
