    Hi there,

Is anyone hiring apprentice electricians in the South East? A friend of the family is a 3rd year apprentice and looking for work.

No longer working in Electrical contracting, but literally get him to ring every Electrical contractor he can find. Third year apprentices are greatly sought after, enough experience to do most work and still on apprentice rates.

Likes of Suir Electrical, STS, Winthrop, CTS in Portlaw, Cheevers in Waterford, Excel in Kilkenny, Waldren in Clonmel. Just tell him to keep ringing, as every contractor will vary at any time on workload etc. so if the first few don't have a start someone definitely will.

Basically what first response said. Be persistent and he/she WILL be sorted out. All the best!!

Farmerval gave bang on advice. Looking at the paper or online is too passive and not fruitful. Contact them and follow up after while. You have to target the employer.

Not the SE - it's Cork. Pepsi would be a very good employer, and a great name to have on the CV.
