I've dipped in and out of this thread since Wednesday but that's about it. I WANT to post stuff again and engage in the discussions but I just can't be bothered with the hassle of trying to navigate this massively broken site, and more than that, I don't feel like I should continue to support a site whose management clearly don't value or engage with their users - beyond as possible cash cows (I'm sure there's LOTS of plans for monetising the content on this new platform alright!)

By the way Boards staff - it's the users here suggesting fixes to others, troubleshooting with them, and even posting code to try and fix some of this stuff who are exactly the community that you clearly don't understand. It also shouldn't be necessary for them to have to do so because you are just doing your own thing (with your one dev and volunteer!) according to your own list of priorities (or I fear, as things occur to you).

This is the first time I've been on all day. I'm going back to my book. As you so perfectly put it retro - I just can't be arsed!

No not really apart from 6 pages to go back through just for todays notifications on just 6(ish) threads there is nothing to help me find a thread I've posted in that has had no replies.

Desktop: Awful. So slow and hard to navigate in threads. Too much white space.

Mobile: Unusable.

No, it's not recent deletions, it's all deleted posts even from the old site. If you had 3 posts in a thread that was nuked two years ago, then those 3 posts were taken off your public post count but stayed on your private post count...I think

I used to love a browse through Boards.ie in the morning and again in the evening. I have my few favourite threads. This new platform is so awkward to use and takes so much faffing to navigate to each discussion that I won't bother much anymore.

Please bring back the old user-friendly platform.

How do I change the stupid smiley face on my profile? Is there a way that I can use dark mode? I use a browser, Opera, that blocks ads so I don't want to use Chrome.

This is my first post since the site came back simply because it's so difficult to use and the whiteness of the site is literally hurting my eyes. I'm genuinely thinking of closing my account unless the site gets a serious upgrade.

Page 31. Grand. I tried to find how to (easily) navigate to page 1 to see the OP. Can't figure out a way to do so without manually typing it into the URL.

Am I missing something or is this another busted basic oversight?

Boards management, I'd be looking for a refund from Vanilla.
