For me it's Jimmy Carr's tax scandal. Seems weird that he thought he'd get away with it. What's yours?

Seems weird that he pulled out of the deal. All he did was make use of a “loophole” that lots of other high net worth individuals were using.

Wasn’t Cameron implicated in some dodgy “dealings”, himself, not too long ago? And he was one of the main finger pointers at Carr.

it has to be Michael Barrymore and the body found in his swimming pool ... a tragic case for the victim (Stuart Lubbock) and his family and totally inexplicable, it would seem. Even after many years of investigation.

I don't know how the family cope with not knowing what happened in a house that was full of party people at the time.

Earliest, rather than weirdest : Jeremy Thorpe, then leader of the UK Liberal party, real establishment figure, married, one child, being tried for conspiracy to murder the young man who had been his lover, at a time when homosexual acts were still illegal in law. Scott's dog was shot during one murder attempt.
