I got my 2nd dose Yesterday off GP.

I emailed the GP’s on about 14th of June to register.

    28(no underlying conditions)

    Type: Pfizer.

    First Dose: 24th June.

    Second Dose: 22nd July.

I feel fine after it. Uptake rate seems good in the area. I met lots of people I went to school with on both days.

Pretty sure one of the questions they ask on entry to vaccine center is if you have been out of the country in the last 2 weeks!

Not sure what happens when you answer yes, but if your returning the day before your appointment, do you have any isolation periods etc. To observe?

    Gorey Pfizer.

I got both doses in Greystones which is local to me, so Gorey is a bit more of a trip, but previously those in Greystones were going the the Aviva.

Anyone experience delays getting their second vaccine?

Received my first vaccine 27th June, Pfizer in the West County, Ennis (Limerick would have been my closest)

Friend of mine got his the same day in Limerick and received his second Pfizer today 23rd.

Know 3 people that got first dose Pfizer 26th June and 2nd 21st of July.

I rang the helpline and there is no second appointment on the system yet.

They asked that when there was a requirement to self-quarantine for 2 weeks. Not sure if they still ask it

    Son.

    Age 19

    Registered 18th July

    Text on 20th July

MVC Cork, puc for 22nd July, Pfizer.

Got a text 50 minutes before appointment that it was changed to Moderna.

No time to re-register as he wanted Pfizer, just his own personal choice having researched it. So as he had work booked off, he went, asked them at appointment and they told him they were out of Pfizer til Sunday. His friend getting Pfizer today in the sane place.

He did get Moderna, but felt very pressured to do so as they told him he wouldn't get another appointment for a few weeks if he didn't take the one the other day.

Moderna and Pfizer are almost identical, and a few studies have shown that Moderna is slightly better protection than Pfizer. He did well to go ahead.

    Something similar here

    2nd dose 30th July Aviva

Just 19 days ...minimum for valid course is 17

Thanks for the reassurance, as a mum you don't like seeing them backed into a corner. It wasn't the vaccine as such, it was the way he felt very pressured to go ahead, 50 minutes notice frazzled him, he was no good for the rest of the day even though he went back to work...dazzled rabbit scenario!!!

    Nearly the same here:

    37, Aviva

    1st dose: 11th of July

    2nd dose: 31st of July

Wondering if it is a mistake? 20 days

Wasn't there talk of reducing the gap for pfizer to 3 weeks to combat Delta?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,503 ✭✭✭baldbear

Seems to be how they're doing it now

    22 day gap for me

    38, Portlaoise, Pfizer

    1st dose 5th July

    2nd dose 27th July

I can confirm that the reaction to second dose of moderna was exactly the same! Forgot to respond to this, the shivering was pretty bad and I didn’t sleep a wink I was so cold. Next day was completely exhausted with migraines, that night I slept well and was brand new next day

    Age: 36

    Location: D8

    Vaccine: Pfizer

    First dose: 11th July (Greystones)

    Second dose: 30th July (Aviva)

    19 days between doses

Friend the same age as me got their 1st dose same day as me and has their 2nd dose on 31st July.

    I’m a 21 day gap. Aviva.

Must be part of the anti delta strategy. I’m happy with it. If I need a booster later, so be it. Get the immunity into me now ASAP.

    1st dose: 29th June

    Vaccine: Pfizer

    MVC: Citywest

    2nd dose: 24th July

    Vaccine: Pfizer

    MVC: Citywest

    25 day gap.

Seems to be a norm trending of reducing the gaps between doses.
