Looks to be a good team to me but I think I will go for a stronger bench this season myself. Even ignoring games being postponed at short notice in the season just gone I think there are more teams willing to rotate players so thinking it will be worth having replacements to come in. Still making changes but currently on:

    Sanches, Bachmann

Digne, Alexander Arnold, Lamptey, Tierney, Coufal

    Saka, Salah, Fernandes, Harrison, Murphy

    Wilson, Watkins, Toney

Definitely a first draft just to see what's possible. Dodging as many players as possible from late in the Euros. Doherty is very tenuous but with 2M in the bank there's a lot of flexibility.

Omobamidele is a definite. 4.0 and Irish.

Yeah that’s a good plan to have as things are still not settled in relation to the pandemic. And yeah many managers are now chopping and changing constantly it’s wise to have a strong bench.

    My first draft...

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,914 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

    Sanchez-Sa

    Tierney-Shaw-Rudiger-Fofana-Godfrey

    Salah-Raphinha-Greenwood-Dallas-Gilmour

    Kane-Toney-Iheanacho

I like the look of mine so far. Went for Gilmour as the 4.5 option likely to play every week, and expecting Kane to go to City and Greenwood to play in Rashford's absence early on.

Think my defence may be TOO stacked, and thus cause selection nightmares down the line.

Obviously not set in stone yet.

Tierney to Rice for a .5 saving . If Kane goes to MC is there a rotation risk and Toney is a good gamble but still a gamble .

  • Registered Users Posts: 275 ✭✭bodking

And Dallas has no CS potential which was 66 points .

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,914 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Tierney not good for attacking outputs though more than Rice?

I do want to upgrade midfield somewhere though

  • Registered Users Posts: 275 ✭✭bodking

When do you expect to Wild card ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,914 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

The usual.....within the first three weeks in a fit of rage :D

Not a big fan, the while fwd seems very risky, I will have Toney myself tho

Raphina will play most games over Soucek I presume,

Not a Fernandez fan myself, and Saka is a great pick but think might take a few weeks to hit the ground running

  • Registered Users Posts: 35,852 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Sanchez

    TAA Digne Shaw

    Salah Bruno Buendia Raphinha Pepe

    Toney Iheanacho

Subs: Darlow Ait Nouri Ayling Perica

Only a first draft, but the spine is there I think.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,664 ✭✭✭Nuts102

    Sanchez/ Bachman

    Digne/James/Shaw/Tierney/Castagne

    Salah/Mount/Greenwood/Raphinha/Beundia

    Calvert Lewin/Watkins/Bamford

  • Registered Users Posts: 477 ✭✭duefrine

    Thanks for the thoughts

Joelinton will definitely be gone before the season starts, Pukki is staying, just in case he goes on a run like a couple of seasons ago....

Toney is the must have striker ( 34% owned ) and is scoring goals...

Most of the rest will stay baring one or two...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,531 ✭✭✭skippy15

Still a long way to go with pre season and signings and seeing when some players will be back

    Anyways

    Sanchez

    Van Djik Trent Digne Shaw

    Salah Havertz Grealish or bueneda

    Watkins Toney DCL

    Foster Raphina Fofana Gilmour

Trent Digne Salah Toney think all rest are up for debate

  • Registered Users Posts: 641 ✭✭✭joeyboy11

    Sanchez (Foster)

    TAA, Chilwell, Digne, Lamptey, (Omobamidele)

    Salah, Bruno, Raphinha, Smith-Rowe, (Gilmour)

    Ings, Bamford, Toney

First sub most weeks will probably be between Raph, Lamptey and Smith-Rowe

Im really tempted by Doherty at with Nuno at spurs! I like the list of strikers in the 7-8 mill mark and went with Ings and Bamford (is he on pens?). If not I could change him to Wilson at Newcastle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,435 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Everyone seems to be on TAA over Robertson? I fancied Robertson with a bit more of a break over the summer under his belt and might start faster?

Doherty could be a steal under Nuno if Spurs start firing.

    Happy enough with this atm

    Taughts please

    Martinez

    VVD Digne Shaw

    Salah Grealish Mount Raphina

    DCL Toney Watinks

    Subs McCarthy Vestagaard Aarons Gilmour

    Still 2mill Itb

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,199 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

    Henderson

    Digne TAA Dunk

    Salah Mané Buendia Raphinha

    Antonio Watkins Wilson

    Foster Brownhill Ayling Manquilo

Mané over Bruno at the moment but that might change..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,531 ✭✭✭skippy15

Mane hasn't had break like this in few years, looks in good shape so interesting shout,

Don't fancy Fernandez if Pogba is still about either, two more weeks of pre season be interesting

Yeah fancy Mané to get back to his best this season, he seems mentally and physically refreshed. Two great opening fixtures for him too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,633 ✭✭✭sheroman01

    Sanchez 4m

    Digne Robertson Shaw Coady/Lampety 4m

    Salah Son KDB Raphina 4.5m

    Watkins Wilson 4.5m

Fairly happy with that. Shaw could move to a 5m, to allow TAA in for Robbo. Any team with good fixtures that I'm overlooking? I'm hesitant on Bruno, given his bad end to the season and poor showing at the Euros.

  • Registered Users Posts: 546 ✭✭✭dasa29

    Martinez -Sanchez

    Konsa - Lowton - Dias - Bednarek - Coufal

    Dallas - Raphinha - Gundogan - Fernandes - Townsend

    Watkins - Bamford - Vardy

This is my team at the moment and with 2M in the bank there's a lot of flexibility to change a player or two if needed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,199 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Why Burnley and Southampton defenders? Their opening fixtures are poor. No Salah will hurt if he hauls in the first few games.

  • Registered Users Posts: 546 ✭✭✭dasa29

While I can see where you are coming from with this and with the 2m in the bank I could swap out

Fernandes and Lowton for Salah and Dunk for 1m out of the 2m, I have in the bank but what happens if Fernandes hauls in the first games and Salah is

    Quiet for their first games.

With the Burnley and Southampton Players, They are players that will play and if they are on my bench so be it be, plus both of them are 4.5m each and the break down of the team is this

    Goalkeepers 10m, Defenders, 25m, Midfielders, 37m and Forwards 26m, + 2m in bank = 100m

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,775 ✭✭✭bmorrissey

    Sanchez - Raya

    Digne - Lowton - Robertson - Fofana - Lamptey

    Sancho - Salah - Maddison - Grealish - Alli

    Richarlison - Toney - Antonio

Took a chance on Alli as think he will get more of a chance with jose gone, also may end up bringing in Doherty or Regullion yet after GW1

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,914 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Have decided to dispense with Dallas, and have 7.5m to play around with as a result. Need advice on the following players, who I have singled out with very little research:

    Jota- 7.5m (already have Salah)

    Maddison or Barnes- 7m

    Alli- 7m

    Saka or Buendia- 6.5m

    Left-field choice....Bryan Gil 6m

I am edging towards Buendia at the minute.

  • Registered Users Posts: 26 AvaSatiVaLomu

From that selection I'd go Barnes, he can be pretty explosive. Presumably he'll come back from injury strong. Shaving 0.5 from somewhere and getting Grealish (8.0) would be ideal, if you've not already.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,664 ✭✭✭Nuts102

    Sanchez/Bachman

    Digne/James/Shaw/TAA/Castagne

    Salah/Barnes/Greenwood/Raphinha/Buendia

    Bamford/Silva/Watkins

Plan is to play 5 at the back every game who are all attacking full backs.

Double of Villa and Leeds in midfield and attack might not be the best option so I might change one of those for each team.
