Am I right in thinking June and July?

    The Saltees are beckoning. Yippee!

Yes John. They usually arrive mid April. I'd say end of May early June for the chicks. I must get there a bit earlier too, I always miss the babbies! The Saltees seems more user friendly than the Skelligs, especially for gannets.

The Saltee Islands are on my list of places to go to this year.

I was there late April last year and there was only one pair in. I'm leaving it til later this month before I go back.

    Boards meet so then.
Would love to use the 300mm f/2.8 for something more than sport.
I have a wedding on the last weekend of June.

That's a good idea. How about 1st or second weekend in June?

It's on my to-do list for this year - get some close puffin shots, and the 300mm should be brilliant for that.

Just have to work out when.

Could suit me depending on when we're touring England for our cricket games.

I was out around July 20th last year, and they'd just left. Another point to bear in mind is that the boats out of Kilmore apparently get block booked by birders well in advance for the month of June, especially at weekends!
