    I never get involved enough with anyone to have reason to ignore them.

    But.. I like reading the people who annoy me, generally they make me laugh too. Better than the +1 nonsense all the time. So even if people really got on my wick I wouldn't ignore them.

    I do have buddies on.

    Although I don't see the point of them, mostly because I realised other people had added me to their buddy list so wanted to return the favor as they were nice people.

    What does having someone as a buddy do?

    Nobody...I use Boards to kill time - it becomes harder when there are fewer posts because I have ignored people!

    Plus I like to test my patience and then realise that those annoying people can be amusing.

    the people who I disagree with and the people who annoy me are very different.

    People that annoy me tend to lack debating skills and repeat the same point again and again.

    People I disagree with tend to be excellent debaters but have a differing opinion which REALLY is a good thing.

    I was slagging.

    I've mentioned God the odd time, but am unsure whether or not your use of "crap" refers to theism in general or just the overbearing kind of rabid theist who trys to force everyone to conform to their beliefs.

    Either way, doesn't really bother me. Everyone has different beliefs.

    I have a few people on mine. I can't remember the specifics of why I set them to ignore :o. It was probably down to them posting in txt speek or annoying me in some other way.
    As kickoutthejams says, that's different to debating something with someone. You may not agree with what they have to say but if they articulate their point well and make you think then all the better!

    The only person who told me I was on his ignore list shot himself spectacularly in the foot shortly thereafter, and hasn't been heard from since. Alls well that ends well I guess. I'm fairly sure I'm on a few others as well, but I make a point of not ignoring people - anyone badly out of line gets bansticked, and everyone else deserves to be heard, imho. As kickoutthejams notes, its always good to step outside your own head.
