CHRIS MASTERS RETURNING TO WWE, FULL DETAILS
    by Mike Johnson @ 2009-06-04 13:51:23

As I broke exclusively last night on my PWInsider.com Elite Audio Hotline, World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Chris Mordetzky, professionally known as Chris Masters to return to the company.

Masters, who had a long talk with Vince McMahon (one source told me they had a one hour meeting) at the WWE TV Tapings last week in Los Angeles began canceling planned bookings yesterday, telling promoters he would be returning imminently to WWE television. Masters had been a regular visitor at the LA tapings for some time.

As I noted on my Hotline, Masters could end up being a test case for WWE going forward. He was released in November 2007 following his second WWE Wellness Policy suspension. Should he be suspended during this new run, we'll know how suspensions from previous WWE contractual agreements would stand if/when a talent is signed to a new deal following a period where they are not employed by the company.

During his first run, Masters, a regular on the Raw roster, only appeared in one PPV main event, the New Year's Revolution Elimination Chamber in Albany, NY in 2007, won by then-WWE champion John Cena.

There is no word as to when he is set to return to television.

I was never a fan but to his credit when he shrunk he actually did look like he was decent in the ring. He Is meant to have improved quite a bit over the last few years so it will be interesting to see how he fares on his return.

I think he'l fill in for Kennedy's planned storyline when hes ready as they really weren't expecting his injury again. But I would like to see him floating around mid-card as a heel for a while.:pac:

Don't think this should be classed a spoiler. It wasn't posted in the title so it is up to readers to decide if they want to read any more.

Anyway, I am glad he is back. It shows that Guys will get another chance if things don't work out initially and they stick with wrestling.

The Masterpiece could find himself working against carlito again soon enough.

Meh. Did anyone miss him? OK enough on the mic but always came across as very one dimensional to me.

He did show small signs of improvement when he shrunk after he moved to Smackdown. The word is that he is been working very hard on the indy scene so I am curious to se what his ring work is like when he returns.
He was always one of those guys I expected to return some day, he had the look that Vince liked and more importantly never trashed WWE after he left. Its probably only a matter of time when Cade is back now that I think about it.

Speaking of cade and guys who turn back up now and again whats the deal with Dupree?

I think I remember reading Masters saying he wanted to get back to WWE so was advised not to say much about wwe and not join TNA. If he wanted to get back into wwe he would need to work at his wrestling and his chance would come.

dupree isn't getting anywhere near wwe if he is still as big as he was this time last year

I hated his gimmick though. I tend to be against that whole 'look at me' vanity shtick as it's been done to death at this stage.

Let's face it Rick Rude perfected that type of gimmick and other than maybe Val Venis I can't think of many guys who achieved much success with it.

I remember I think it was Mark Jindrak who tried something like that on Velocity years ago and it was so painful to sit through. Unsurprisingly it didn't last long. Nor did he. (Whatever happened to Jindrak btw?)

He hasn't made any televised comeback yet, so I can't see how this can be classed as a spoiler. :)
