    * The opening pyro hits as the local crowd explodes.

He thanks everyone who stuck with him and says that CM Punk said some rotten things. Hardy says the only thing he's high on is being your World Champion. He then mentions John Morrison and says he plans to give him a fight because his title reign was too short last time. John Morrison vs. Jeff Hardy is announced as tonight's main event. Cryme Tyme comes out and celebrates with Hardy. As Jeff walks to the back, Cryme Tyme prepares for a match. A replay from last night's Raw is shown.

Good to see Seamus has moved up from local jobbers..

    To rostered jobbers.

Be interesting to see Ryder and Christian on ECW too. Very similar styles could be good.

I dont think so, its like their drip feeding it to us, they havent been in a match yet and its been going on how long?

I give credit to the bookers that they arent just playing this one out the same story.

I agree with how they're slowly building it up, but there's slow and there's standing still. How many weeks now has Kane interrupted Khalis match, or Khali interrupting Kanes match, and then Kane just runs away.

As they couldn't have a match at NOC, they need to start stepping things up to build it up for Summerslam. Have full blown attacks, attack each other backstage, have Kane attack Ranjin Singh. Something different

I have not followed ECW for ever pretty much but would this confirm Seamus as a heel as I vaguely recall Goldust being a face (not a very good one but still a face)?

Is there even a story to this? Unless I've missed something for over a month now Kane's been attacking Khali or running from Khali scared and we've still not been given a reason why. Weak stuff.

And the best WWE show of the week? By the looks of things not the PPV, not Raw, not ECW, not even Smackdown but the D show will be the best

His first match that wasn't a complete squash since it was Goldust, and I have to say it was a bad one. Only about 5 minutes long but there are still prolonged chin locks and arm bars in there.

His shorter matches should be all impact to get him over as being a monster.

Cryme Tyme: Great to see these guys getting a chance to wrestle and Talk. JTG is electric, Shad is one big brother and the crowd seem really into em. These guys are current, compare them to some of the stale personas around the wwe they are a breath of fresh air.

Credit to Kidd and Smith for helping them put on a good match on smackdown and make them look good.

    Anyone else watching Smackdown?

Shad is dreadful though in the ring, that is their one huge downside. I wont be watching as I am stuck in work, but will later.
Also the Jo Mo v Kidd match on superstars is ****ING AWESOME!:)

Is shad that bad in the ring? I mean most of the teams time (From what i remember) in WWE was in short matches so I am unable to decide how good or bad he is.

I will have to check out the Kidd Jo Mo match.

Shad is pretty bad, JTG is a superb worker who does all the work in the tag team. Shad is useful for the hot tag and not much else. He is slowly improving but he was really brutal a few years ago.

It really is. Add another to the top quality matches Jo Mo has had this year. The man is on fire when it comes to in ring performances at least. Made me miss that Kidd isn't on ECW anymore though.

As for Cryme Tyme, wasn't a fan but they're growing on me. They compliment each other and they're over as hell. Can't ask for much more from a team.

I enjoyed his match tonight, but my expectations are small. I'm always happy to see some tag teams that are not just singles guys thrown together for a match.

Ouch* Finlays leg getting caught in the ropes looked BAD.

Jeff looks like he is enjoying himself. How can he walk away from the wwe now.

He must be the most popular guy around. His body as to be in bits, can't think of any other reason he'd leave now.

He is the most over guy in the WWE now, They were impressed by his commitment in getting Punk over. I think he is gonna stay.

EDIT: I liked the little music mash they did for Show-Y2J

I think Jeff going back as far as his feud with Orton pre suspension and his feud with nitro for the ic title is the most consistent performer the WWE has. The last few years would make one hell of a DVD.

Every match he has is, well, poetry in motion..........

EDIT: Was watching smackdown about ten mins behind, Punk was awsome at the end, great heel performance from him. If Jeff does leave he has really helped Punk get over.

From what i've seen so far I think Punk is going face again.

nice beatdown by punk there,he's an awesome heel!

I'd imagine next weeks match will end in a dq or somethin along those lines so punk can face hardy again at summerslam and get the title back.

Wonder what's next for Morrison. Don't think he should be put in with Punk/Hardy to make it a threeway, but can't think of another spot for him. It's bizarre there's been quite a few quality tv matches this week after such a poor PPV.

The Punk hardy feud is fine on its own.

Maybe Jo Mo will just get a few handy wins to keep up his momentum.

Punk is an awesome heel. I remember the arguments between the Indy/ROH fans, who said Punk was going to be huge, and the 'E fans who thought he was over-hyped and overrated. I think it's safe to say that argument has been resolved.

Having JoMo kick out of the swanton bomb was a great touch.

Big Show and Jericho need new music.

The women need to give me a reason to care about what they're doing.

    Kidd left ECW too early.

Probably what will happen, just be a shame if he was off Summerslam too since he's been so consistently great in the ring recently.

That was immense. The match with Jeff and Jo Mo was super stuff as well. Its been a good week for Morrison, shame he had to deliver such a horrible promo on the show though.
The rst of he show was passable, I did like the finish of the ladis match as well, awsome little spot between Melina and Mc Cool.

    Punk is a brilliant heel.

Jo Mo is better at heel promos but wrestles like a face. He might improve, Jeff comes across better on the mic these days. Jo Mo should take some acting lessons.

Have you not seen him on the Cryme Time segments? They should team him up with Hornswoggle and a returning Eugene and they can feud with Legacy over the unified tag team belts. :p

Why not get Ricky Ortiz to manage them, he can get Eugene to Rally/Hulk up.

Or just bring back Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi, TOO COOL 2009.

Punk nicking the aul MMA elbows from the Bryan Danielson playbook of finishers I see.:pac:

he should use it fulltime, its a great, unique way to finish a match and get the wreatler over as a vicious SOB as well.

Wasn't Matt Hardy trying to use that as a finisher at one point before his injury? Or something similar at least.

oh yes i completely agree, hardy has come on leeps and bounds with his promos, so i think that jo mo can too, i think he could use some of the heel promos slightly altered, like the way y2j's old face promos were! cocky, arrogant and funny, maybe jericho could teach him!

It's frustrating because a few months ago on ECW he was much much better, not brilliant but passable, less squeaky voiced and when guesting on commentary he was actually quite funny.

Wow, that was terrible. This is one of my wrestling pet peeves, Morrison used to be a cocky heel, making fun of people. Now all of a sudden, he's a happy-go-lucky chap, praising Hardy, saying how great their match is going to be.

What the hell? Awfulness of the promo aside, even though he's essentially a face now, there's no reason why he still can't be cocky and making fun of people. Just a little less cocky and he'd be over as a face
