    Hi All,

Myself, the wife and 2 kids (4 and 2.5 years old) are heading to Eurodisney next month. Will be there on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Staying at the New York hotel. Anyone got any tips on what do Before/during the trip and what to avoid or look out for.

    Thanks

Nice hotel anyway. Your kids are probably a bit young for it though.

I would say the 4 year old is a good age for finding Nemo and Cars and possibly others. Im not a parent so Im not up to date.

I took my OH's Nephew to Eurodisney and thats what he was interested in and he was 4 1/2.

The 2 year old will probably be interested in whatever he or she is currently watching in TV. Smack on the Disney channel for a week or so before going and you will be set.

Tips - There is a petrol station down the road from the turn off to the hotels. Instead of turning left just go straight on towards Hotel Santa Fe. There is a petrol station. Get snacks and BEER here for much cheaper than the parks.

There is also an Auchan supermarket in Val D'Europe which is massive and sells nearly everything. BIG TIP - Buy your gifts from family and friends in Auchan. There are loads of other shops in the shopping centre including the much loved Baby Gap and Gap Kids.

There is also an outlet centre which is not very cheap at all. As a French(pairisian) colleague once said. "French Prices with 50% off which still makes them high prices."

Underneath the shopping centre is an aquarium of sorts.

Val D'Europe is around a 10 minute drive(if even) from the hotel.

    BTW NICE HOTEL!

    Thanks Berty,

Might keep the shopping centre underwraps from the better half. Thanks for the tips.

If she is anything like my other half she can smell the shopping centres at 10 miles.

BTW, DO NOT MISS THE PARADE on Main Street USA.

We stood on the centre area at the entrance to the park right at the corner. We got a great view.

The times change during the season so be sure to pick up the English map and guidebook when you enter the park for the times of all the shows.

The finding Nemo ride is not really for kids oddly enough I just remembered and there is a height restriction. We nearly didn't get on and the queue in March 2008 was unbelievable.

    Hiya,

We have been twice this year my dds were the same age as your on our june trip, Its the perfect age for it they were competely blown away with the magic!! I agree with berty if they dont watch the disney channel stick it on my two were already massive playhouse disney fans b4 our january trip so it made meeting mickey and co. extra special.

The nemo ride itsnt for kids there is height restrictions and its a little scarey, adults will luv it or older kids. My 2 luved,
All the rides in fantasyland but snowwhite was a little scarey my 4yr old cryed my nearly 3yr old didnt mind it too much. In discovery there in buzz, autopia and oberitons (i didnt like this haha!!). In the studios there is cars and the flying carpets. Then there is the shows and parades the main one in the park is brill and the stars and cars parade in the studios get a spot in front of the stages. The shows do not miss playhouse disney, stitch live and animagic all in the studios. Honestly there is so much for them to do they will hav the best time. I think there fav ride is "its a small world" we usually do it about 10 times a trip haha!! but be warned the song is very catchy you will be humming its for weeks after haha!! oh def do a meal at cafe mickey it 2min from ur hotel it brill for the kids to meet the characters without the massive ques in the parks. Hav a great trip cant wait to go back again!!

P.S the shopping centre it fantastic!!

Great days to go, last time I was there was a Tuesday and we (family, youngest 19, lol) got pretty much everything done! When I was there with school all those years ago I remember vividly waiting over 2 and a half hours in the Thunder Mountain queue, was worth it though. We even managed to go twice or three times on the best ones, timed perfectly for the parade :-D Do the big rides early before the crowds arrive.

We walked out, chuffed that we'd been through it all... ...only to see (in that typical Disney rub-your-eyes way ) that there was a movie studios park as well!! Needless to say I can't wait to go back and do that part :D

Do they still have the 3D + effects part? When I was there they had Honey I Shrunk the Audience, the dog sneeze was absolutley disgusting but made us all laugh our asses off for hours afterwards :pac:

    It is what it's.
