Just before the off, there was a big drop in the price for Pollen in the 3:55, I imagine everyone was jumping on for the fourfold. Since I already had money on Tom's pick, I put a little on Pollen . Then in the 4:40, Kusadasi's price dropped sharply before the off so I followed the money there too.

At that point, I was thinking of what Pointbreak had mentioned some time ago. If the RP money can shoot Tom Segal's picks to the top of the most bet horses within minutes of being posted and another horse overtakes him in the betting near the off, there must be serious money coming in.

Just something to keep an eye on in future.

yer POINTBREAK has outlined that previously but it is true, good tracking there winslow

I think we can be fairly certain Segal won't be tipping the favourite in the Lincoln.
Does anyone know if he gave an Ante Post selection?

There was a small poker tournament on the Racing Post site. I only noticed it at about 7.45 but I registered because Tom Segal was playing in it.
I was seated at the same table as Ben Hutton......... and got a tip, but it all went pear shaped for me after that.......... lol

    Early tissue 8/1.

    Timeform
    Timeform View:
Jonny Mudball stands out as the unexposed horse in the line-up and the prize can be his if he's able to continue the rapid progress he made on polytrack late last year. Fantasy Explorer and Zidane both have their quirks, but still appeal as viable each-way alternatives to the selection.

    Thanks Pointbreak,

A bit unusual for Tom to be tipping short priced favourites, unless the books checked the RP paper tips before offering up the odds!

Can't have Captain Dancer. Steel Stockholder is bottom of the handicap, winner over C&D (Captain Dancer was 6th) and won LTO and is 15.00 I'd sooner take a hopefull 1/4 odds (pays 4 places)

I know what you mean. I just watched a couple of its races on ATR and it really didn't impress me. In fact if Tom didn't fancy it I would quite like to lay it............ BUT every time I forget that I know virtually nothing about horses compared to Segal I miss out on a winner......... lol

I wrote up his reasons for backing these on the website a few minutes ago. I don't think it would be fair to cut and paste his word for word even though I did pay a pound for the RP this morning.

Why not put up the advised prices?

Sunday is actually not pricewise but a Tom Segal column therefore no advised prices.
