    Hi all,

These guys are just around the corner from me and its time to bite the bullet and go see them about an achilles problem.

Just wondering how much a physio session costs ?

These guys are excellent. Went to them earlier this year.
I think they cost me about 60euro for an hour.

Best of luck with the achilles problem!

Id go physio Elvis. Doctors tend to tell you to "just rest it" and prescribe anti-inflammatories(hope thats not breaching the charter, apologies if it is).

Does depend on what you get, i've paid €40 and had someone jsut run my leg for 30-40 mins. I've also paid 60 euro and had great work done for over an hour. i don't mind paying the 60 as I know the work done is worth it.

Might be pricey but these guys especially Mark are world class, not an exaggeration. There are too many spoofers and rub artists out there but McCabe's crew are the best I encountered in 20 years of injury and rehab. They got me to the startline more times in the past two years when I know if I didn't go to them I'd have been faffing around and would probably have made half the races. Money well spent.

In total agreement on this. The best I have ever met and beyond me how he is not THE key guy for AAI to build a world class HP service around. When you see it done properly you realise how dangerous the rest can be. And like all the best people its never about him, always about the athlete.

If you get a receipt from them you can claim the cost back in your tax - so it will get you back about €15 of it...better than nothing...

AAI Already have a fantastic team of Chartered Physiotherapists working with thier athletes... one of whom I attend reguarly for various sports injuries, and I consider her one of the most expereinced physiotherapists I have ever met regarding running injuries ( and I am a Physio too ) Catherine Craddock, who recently opened her own practice is Ashford Co. Wicklow ( eastcoastphysio.ie ) She's in Barcalona at the moment with the team!

That's fair enough but how many of said physios are used by our HP elite athletes as their personal physios? That's the acid test, not who gets picked by AAI to go on trips. Luckily Mark is a physio himself as i suspect we would be off on another thread here given the capital letters used for Chartered Physiotherapist!

What makes Mark different is that he has the strength and conditioning training and experience to go with the underlying physio.
