No, but I'm working on changing everything in dramatic fashion.

It will most likely end in disaster but meh, life is for livin'.

And congrats on the promotion whiteboy.

Yeah i am, i complain about things, but i couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. I love my actual job, just hate the unsocial hours involved.

Was going down a nice path before, only to trip on a crack and break my ankle. Never taking that path again, will have to find some other one. Council should really fix it.

I assume you do night shifts?

Did a summer of them and loved it apart from the one major drawback; it really ****s up your day and social life. Best time to work is 11pm - 7am if it didn't **** up your life so bad. I guess if you we're a recluse it'd be perfect though.

Yep. Only joined because I was too stingy to buy handcuffs. I wonder should I be paying benefit-in-kind tax for bringing them home?

Yeah love my job at the moment and it's the first rung in the ladder for me hopefully, if I continue studying while working, get the certifications I need then I'll be able to move up.

The pay isn't massive in the line of IT I'm in but if I love the work and couldn't see myself doing anything else

Nope, not a negative attitude, there really isn't a career in Call Centres. Been in here 4 years, I know what there is avail to progress through to and to be honest, it isn't really much of a career.

Just another job that pays a bit more.

I'm doing what I've wanted to do since I was 7 or 8. It's not always the greatest of careers. It has it's plusses, and minuses. The irregular nature of the work is the biggest drawback. However, I do enjoy it and have no intention of quitting it.

Nope, hate it, the office politics that goes with it, the constant moaning from my colleagues who have the same level of love for the job as I do, my lazy assed boss... I'm just waiting, and waiting, and waiting till the job I want comes along...unfortunately, due to the fcuked up state of the nation here, that's gonna be a while!!!!!

Having a pay packet each week under the current climate is a bonus. I cant complain at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,216 ✭✭✭Kur4mA

Sometimes I am and sometimes I'm not. On the plus side, I have a job that I'm very good at and they're going to pay to put me through college or some IT certifications so I'm happy at the moment. :)

Some people say a man is made out of mud but a poor man's made out of muscle and blood. Muscle and blood and skin and bone with a mind that's weak and a back that's strong.

You load sixteen tons and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt. I say "Saint Peter, I can't go...cause I sold my soul to the company store..."

Not really but then again I wouldnt call this my chosen career

    The three universal truths

    1) My co-workers are incompetent

    2) My boss is an idiot

    3) I'm underapppreciated

Fingers crossed for my interview in the mornig where hopefuly these "truths" don't apply

Don't love it so much that if you offered me a similar income fro doing nothing that I wouldn't jump at it, but the working environment and pay is good, the work can be challenging and I can use my brain so I do like it.

pay has dropped a fair bit, but I can work my own hours and mind the kids. Grateful to have work. Good and bad days like every job, but mostly good.
