Dublin South

Mairead Corrigan: before her election to the Seanad, Corrigan was the Principal Psychologist for St John of God Intellectual Disability Service.
This makes her an ideal candidate for the Dail imo

While I support high intellectual standards in politicians, not everyone who goes for the Dail necessarily has to be a barrister, solicitor or economist.

Being the 'Principal Psychologist for St John of God Intellectual Disability Service' would indicate to me that she is smart and educated, as well as capable; it certainly wouldn't disqualify her as a good candidate in my eyes...

I agree she is smart, and my idea is she would be suited to working with the intellectually challenged in Dail Eireann.

Well, considering how the electorate has voted in FF most of the time, and between 15 - 25% will vote for them again; I think she would be capable of determining why and making sure that it happens NEVER AGAIN!

She is/was allegedly involved with a 'close' friend of Bertie's .... some auld lad called Joe ? who was found pissed up with two young wans in his car by the gardai whilst she was still seeing him ..... resulted in the meeja camped outside her house a few years ago. Eamon Gilmore got the top job in Labour and his wife suddenly got a top VEC job in his constituency ..... all above board of course, just like her innocently selling her land in Galway to the Dept of Education at a nice price.

Any politician attached to a party that had power in the last 40 years will not get a vote from me .... its the independents we need in there to keep the crooneyism down. Party membership is pointless because you cant speak your own mind or he party whip will be down on you.
