I'm looking to do a Jive on it, only thing is I'm slightly worried as I wouldn't be surprised if it did end 0-0. Anyone have any more or less sure thing on the game other than over0.5 goals.

Also with the free bet I presume it's like all the other free bet's and stake is not returned?

I always get confused with this. :pac:

So is there 3 bets overall? 1 pre game and 2 live?

No, 1 pre game then 1 live, if live bet loses you'll be given a free bet to the value of the stake.

    Correct

No 2 bets 1 pre match and 1 in play

First Half Goals under 3.5 1/66, gonna take this and then see how the match is going in-play and hopefully get lucky with something at long-odds.

So I put 50 on before the match, I get another 50 to use in-play and if that losses I get another free bet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,351 ✭✭✭magherakid

Put £50 on pre match then another £50 in play if that losses you get your £50 back

Bet365 must be cleaning up with these types of bets the amount of times they do them :P

One I might take a chance on is Liverpool in the race to 9 corners, I'm fairly sure Pool will win the corners match (13/8 might go for this either) so at 15/2 I think it might be worth chancing the inplay 50 on this. Anyone any thoughts on it?

haha i like that you've named that strategy after me :P

Thing with the over 0.5 goals is you can always back under 0.5 goals as well in running so that you can't actually lose any money. If the unders comes in then you might make a few hundred depending on when you backed it!

The stake is returned on the 'free bet' if you win because they just pay you back if it loses. So if you win, you technically won with your own money so it's like a normal bet.

Can't watch the match (back at college, no skysports fuuuuuuuuu) tonight but will back over 0.5 and il back under 0.5 if there's no goals after an hour or so (depending on what the odds are). I can't see City not scoring for a 3rd game in a row though so I expect they will score. I don't have a clue what I'm going to do in-running though, maybe correct score or something but anything i put on will be a shot in the dark unless my ****ty college internet can maintain a stream.

Yeah, forgot I coukd back the under's in play, figured that it'd be in the t's and c's that you can't guarentee profit but don't remember seeing it anywhere.

Think I'm going to go for Pool in the race to 9 corner's, they've done it in a good few away matches where they have went behind so I'm hoping for City to go ahead, (and then lose 2-1 :p).

back over 0.5 goals before the game and as soon as the game starts back the draw.

anything in the T&C about this?

have I pissed anyone off by giving advice again?

Would it not be better to go over 0.5 before the game and back the 0-0 draw at 9/1 as soon as the game starts? Don't think I remember seeing anything in the T&Cs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 952 ✭✭✭shangri la

i thought that originally but most people want to maximise their chance of a return (by including 1-1 and 2-2).

if E100 is a decent part of your bank go for a draw and if your a rich gambler go for the 0-0.

Definately would be better considering the way we are thinking of taking advantage of the offer.

There is when I have to deal with a "if I want your opinion I'll ask for it" and have a bunch of morons thank the post when I just state that a bet is clearly a losing bet and he would be better off betting on a different market.

    yesno1234 wrote: »

the draw is 5/2 and the €125 profit from that bet would be a large part of most members here as I would assume the majority of punters on this forum have betting banks of less than €500 and the draw will obviously hit much more often than the 0-0.

In a vacuum I would say the 5/2 on the draw is more +ev than the 9/1 on the 0-0 also.

Also I would say the 1-1 is at least 1.5 times more likely to hit than the 0-0.

Don't think I could ever be comfortable backing something at 1/66 when 1/12 is freely available on Betfair, even if it is just to get a free bet.

I'm comfortable with it, happened in 1 game of City's this year, against Wolves, none of Pool's matches. Considering City score almost 3 times more goals in the second half than in the first and Liverpool score half in each half. Plus IMO it will be an extremely tight 1st half, neither team will want to be out of the match come start of 2nd half, at most 1 goal will be scored in first half.

why put yourself in a position to lose your entire stake when the offer allows you to place a risk free bet?

How am I putting myself at risk of losing my entire stake, if the in-play loses (likely) I will get a €50 free bet, if the pre match loses (highly unlikely) I will be down €50 pending result of inplay bet.

    pre:man city & draw is 1/5
in running: liverpool at the off should be 16/5

    thats another option

man city or draw you make a tenner profit
    liverpool win you make 110.

    seriously?

its unlikely your pre game bet loses but the fact is that some of the time it loses.

depending on what bet you make in running which you haven't said what it is it could lose also.

end result you lose fifty quid when you could be in a risk free position.

your a very argumentative person. just think for a second ffs.

I would say if you only bet these offers that bet365 would just close your account within a month, maybe two.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 559 ✭✭✭DB74

    €50 on Draw with Bet365 @ 5/2 - returns €175
    €40 on Pool @ 7/2 - returns €180
    €90 on City @ 20/21 - returns €175.50

    Total staked = €180
    Max Loss = €5

Put Free bet on whatever you like with a max loss of €5

eg - back the Draw just after KO (say @ 5/2)

    If City win - get back €175.50 + €50.00 from €230 staked = €4.50 loss
    If Draw - get back €175 + €175 from €230 staked = €120 profit
If Pool win - get back €180 + €50 from €230 staked = break even

So basically you are staking €4.50 to win €120

From Bet365 T&C re the offer

    6. Where any term of the offer or promotion is breached or there is any evidence of a series of bets placed by a customer or group of customers, which due to a deposit bonus, enhanced payments, free bets or any other promotional offer results in guaranteed customer profits irrespective of the outcome, whether individually or as part of a group, bet365 reserves the right to reclaim the bonus element of such offers and in their absolute discretion either settle bets at the correct odds, void the free bets or void any bet funded by the deposit bonus. In addition bet365 reserve the right to levy an administration charge on the customer up to the value of the deposit bonus, free bet or additional payment to cover administrative costs. We further reserve the right to ask any customer to provide sufficient documentation for us to be satisfied in our absolute discretion as to the customer's identity prior to us crediting any bonus, free bet or offer to their account.

Therefore backing over 0.5 goals pre-game and then under 0.5 goals after KO breaches this condition so just be careful if you are making a habit of it (this is the 3rd or 4th similar offer from Bet365)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,461 ✭✭✭wolfyboy555

What about 50 pre-match at 10/11 and 50 in play on pool and draw at 4/5??

    City win = 45.45 profit
Pool or draw = 40 profit

    Or am I missing something?

Does bet 365 return the free bet stake if your in play bet wins? Or if pool or draw comes in do i just get 40e returned and be down a tenner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 774 ✭✭✭seklly

    Or am I missing something?

Maybe you're missing the post above yours?

Here it is again with the important bits in bold:
"Where any term of the offer or promotion is breached or there is any evidence of a series of bets placed by a customer or group of customers, which due to a deposit bonus, enhanced payments, free bets or any other promotional offer results in guaranteed customer profits irrespective of the outcome, whether individually or as part of a group, Bet365 reserves the right to reclaim the bonus element of such offers and in their absolute discretion either settle bets at the correct odds, void the free bets or void any bet funded by the deposit bonus. We further reserve the right to ask any customer to provide sufficient documentation for us to be satisfied in our absolute discretion as to the customer's identity prior to us crediting any bonus, free bet or offer to their account."

That said you can sometimes get away with it (I have) but there is a risk involved.

You still need to use your own funds for the free in-play bet and if that loses stake is returned.

In the example above if City win you have €45.45 profit, if they lose or draw you lose the 1st bet (-€50) and win the in-play (+€40) so would come out with a €10 loss. There are better options available.

Some of ye mite be doing three or four bets in the City game, then ye mite be better off only placing two bets with BET365 and rest with other bookmaker.

    For example DB74 post.

I'll probably just back Spearing to be booked and leave it at that.

I'm not concerned with guaranteeing a profit so i've gone with Man city win @1.975 prior to the teams being announced.

I'm going to go with city corner handicap -1 in play assuming it stays at evens. Poor Liverpool lineup set up to defend and have very little pace to counter attack.

your betting your own money in play. They refund your stake if it loses.

I did over 0.5 1st half goals at 1.4. €50 on, €20 profit. Put the In Play bet on over 2.5 total goals at 1.5. Guaranteed €20 profit regardless:D:D

To get around this I done over 0.5 goals 1/16 pre game..then got 10/1 for No Goalscorer(best price) to cover myself on sky bet. That way if theres an og and it ended 1-0 I would have won on both bets. So I had a risk free free bet(done the the draw in play)
