    Hi,

I am on JSA and pregnant.

I want to do something worthwhile with this time I am out of work and not getting any interviews.

I have seen a course I am very interested in. Would SW help me fund it? Does the course have to meet any specific criteria?

I am on JSA since October.

    Thanks for any advice.

You can go and speak to a Jobs Facilitator in your social welfare office. They have a small budget for this, but it is very limited.

If the course is a full-time course in a publically funded institution, you could consider applying for Back to Education Allowance, see here for more details http://www.welfare.ie/EN/Schemes/BackToEducation/Pages/btea.aspx

Thanks a mill for your reply.

It's a level 8 diploma, but only 2 nights per week. So not sure they'd help me out with that :-(

    It's a private company called cmi-Ireland.

I went into fas after I was made redundant and the woman made me feel like a worthless piece of scum. She was worst kind of human I've ever had to deal with. Ci left in tears.

So very hesitant to go near Fas again.

Would they not try to sign me up to one if their courses? Rather than paying out for a private one. It's level 8 I'd really want to do.
