    I tried the usual frequency 10.773 H 22 5/6
    but the channel doesn't appear
    I had trouble with it yesterday and deleted the channel and wanted to add it again but it just won't work

    It has nothing to do with Sky. Channel 5 was removed from the transponder you were viewing it on. You will need to retune using the frequency posted earlier in this thread.

    I use Sky freeview (Sky box but no card) and for about the last month Channel 5 has been showing on 105, previously I had to go through "other channels" to get it .
    Thats just after BBC1 & 2 ITV and Channel 4.
    A neighbour who uses a different freeview box can also get it.
    Have you tried this on yours?

    Channel 5's frequency has changed and it is now on the same transponder as Channel 5+1, 5 USA and 5*. I have updated the table and hopefully at some point the mods will update the thread for me.

    As I said in an earlier post - on the Sky box Channel 5 recently became available on the main list of channels without having to go through the "Other Channels" route.

    Have you tried this with yours.

    The Sky box and Freesat branded receivers will have their EPG's updated automatically. This isn't the case with non Sky/Freesat receivers.

    It's the FEC setting.

    (I can't explain beyond that)

    10.964 = Frequency (GHz)

    V = Polarisation

    22.0 = Symbol Rate (Mbaud)

    5/6 = FEC

    If your box has no where to enter FEC then it normally automatically finds the right setting.

    I.e. try it without it and it should work

    the settings on mine is like this
    Satelitte - Astra 1D 23.5

    LNB TYPE - Universal

    TP Index - 82/92

    Diseqc - Disable

    Positioner - Diseqc1.2

    22k - On

    0/12v - On

    Polarity - Vertical

    Toneburst - On

    Lnb Power - on

    is any1's like this

    Thats the layout on mine

    Still cant get channel 5

    You need to go into a different menu.

    Possibly transponder - add transponder then scan transponder

    Or edit transponder or scan for channels.

    If you have the option blind scan then pick astra 28 but you will then need to sort all the channels again.

    thats because you have the polarity on vertical(v) instead of horizontal(h)

    oh and the satellite should be 28.2 not 23.5. it's astra 2 you should be picking up

    Found the re-tuning details for Channel 5 on lyngsat.com.
    I now have Channel 5, Regions 1 - 5 on my EDISION Argus mini.

    Anyone any idea which Region is best for the Dublin area?

    Probably a bit frustrating trying to do via front controls without remote. Might be easier to upload sat settings to pc, edit with a channel editor and download back to receiver.

    OT - This thread title relates to "other channels" on sky boxes not adding missing channels to fta boxes.
    Channel 5 is currently appearing on the epg for cardless skyboxes by default. Adding to "other channels" is no longer necessary.
    In fact there are very few standard free channels not appearing on the free epg since December last. My favourites is now filled to the brim:) Pity there isnt a way to increase the 50 limit.

    Could a mod update the "UPDATED:: UK FTA TUNING GUIDE - BBC/ITV/C4/C5/HD & MORE!" sticky with the new frequency in post #2 of this thread?

    I just retuned Channel 5 on my Sky box to watch the Man Utd game.

    For Channel 4 and 5 the difference is regional ads.
