    Hamilton gave James McCarthy his debut at 15 didnt they? Still, 13 is a bit ridiculous. You would have to imagine it's going to be very difficult for them physically.

    Wigan Midfielder James McCarthy, who is expected to travel with Ireland this summer to EURO 2012, made his first team debut at Hamilton Academical at the age of 15.
    McCarthy became the youngest player to ever play for Hamilton but that record is about to be surpassed
    Youngsters Mark Hill & Danny Armstrong who are playing Reserve team football for Hamilton at the ages of 13 & 14 respectively are tipped to break McCarthy's record next season.
    The Big Red Bench spoke to Hamilton Academy Director Frank McEvoy about these two prodigy's

    Bit ridiculous for a 13 or 14 year old child to be playing pro football against fully grown men?
    I know the whole thing that if they're good enough they're old enough, but this is too much. It's unfair on them and the men they're playing against

    If you're old enough your good enough ? or are these guys too young to be playing against grown men?

    A 12-year-old played in the Bolivian top flight a few years ago.

    After five minutes opponent Henry Alaca brutally fouled him by apparently kicking his right ankle, which ignited a brawl on pitch, whilst Mauricio, who turned 13 the Wednesday after the match, broke into tears, but continued playing after the incident.

    Pretty scummy thing to do and can see that being a problem for these Hamilton lads.

    It was a scummy thing to do, but my initial reaction was to laugh.
    Feel guilty for it though
