You could write three A4 pages and score no marks if you don't answer the question.

For ten marks? Without knowing the exact marking scheme, I would say half a page. Four or five significant relevant statements.

Why do so few people get As in history though?

Do they? Always seemed to be an awful lot of A and B grades when I corrected.

Did you see today's exam spurious? What did you think of it?

I wrote 3/4 of a page on most of the 10/12 mark questions.

    Just looked at it there.
I thought it was fair, but tough enough in places to sort out those who know their stuff from the spoofers. I think the social change question will majorly catch people who try to wing it.

Oh, really? I didn't answer social history, but I thought it seemed pretty nice, I was kicking myself that I didn't revise it, but thank God I didn't now ;)

I thought the whole exam was pretty nice, although I didn't have Washington fully revised, so I had to talk about the battles rather than Washington himself :/

The only other thing that caught me was northern Ireland civil rights....I talked about NICRA and catholic discrimination....was that okay? Because we never did northern Ireland in detail

Did ye do International Relations in detail? I thought that was a nice question this year.

I answered all the short questions. I completely agree this year was easier than past years
