Recommended place to get lightweight aluminium frame & forks finished?

Any recommended place in Dublin to get a lightweight thick tuned MTB frame sprayed /coated?

What would one expect to pay?

Do you normally strip the old paint off?

I was told powder coating was not recommended for alloy frames.

    Cheers.

Save yourself some money and strip the paint yourself with nitro morse.

I have an old alloy frame I would like to get resrayed at some point in the future.
Why is powder coating seen as undesirable for a alloy frame? What mode of painting is suitable?

I don't have any knowledge of repainting bar talking to the Tallaght Powdercoat people at that cycle show in the RDS recently.

The original paintwork on the bike didn't seem to 'take' to the alloy. It came off in big flakes when the frame was tapped or knocked.

The heat treatment in the powder coating process can cause aluminium frames to fracture.

    Fracture? Zoinks!

What is a more sympathetic method for repainting an alloy bike? (My bike is a very nice Klein MTB with a now shoddy looking paintjob).
