Why are some programmes on the website 'Ireland Only' and some programmes 'Worldwide Only'? :( This 'Lovey/Hatey' sitcom programme I hear of sounds like it could be worth a viewing.

I think it depends on the contract for each programme between RTE and the Production Company. It seems to very Hit and Miss, unfortunately.

Still, at least we let you watch some of our shows on Catchup - the BBC don't let us any TV Shows on t'Iplayer :(

    You've two options...

    1) Get a Irish IP address by using an Irish proxy server..

    or

    2) I can tell you what happens in it.. :)

    It's about rights/contracts alright.

A lot of RTE programs use music that they only have the rights for inside Ireland due to a blanket agreement between RTE and IMRO. They aren't allowed make these shows available to regions other than those specified in the agreement.

Love/Hate was shown on STV, but I don't think it ever made it to a networked ITV Channel. ITV are selling it internationally, so maybe it will pop up on ITV4 or somewhere eventually (although maybe not, if STV still hold the rights).

Once you get used to the Canned Laughter, it is a veritable riot of hilarious misunderstandings from start to finish.

This is true, you should also be on the look out for the award winning gritty drama Upwardly Mobile.
