Fresh thread :) ....i'm on fire (or highly annoying) today :p

We can officially confirm that Being Human Series Five begins at 10pm on Sunday 3rd of February on BBC Three.

Will Hal survive going cold turkey?

Can Alex forgive Hal for her untimely death?

Will Tom’s chivalrous streak survive what is to come?

There’s only one way to find out...

First episode was on BBC last night, dude.
"Out now" doesn't really apply to shows that air over here. :o

    Gutted..

.. the first episode of the new series was excellent.

Am convinced I read that someone in the production (Toby Whithouse?) said that this series ends on a cliffhanger.. if that's the case, feck the Beeb anyways for cancelling a show after filming for a series has finished.

EDIT: Yep, Whithouse said the final episode will "leave you guessing.."

Damn it. I think the new cast have really brought a lot of energy to the team and are working well. Hopefully it'll go out on a high and the ending won't frustrate too much!

I can't believe this is the last series :( One of the best Beeb shows imo and I can't believe that it has been stuck on BBC3 for so long. I've always felt it was good enough to be on BBC1.

Yeah i'm annoyed too that it's ending, I really like the 'new' characters and this season has been pretty great so far!

I'm definitely enjoying the series so far and the introduction of the devil has been great.

It's very obvious though that the scriptwriters are capable of including so much more into the series but are being confined by the very limited number of episodes. I'd love to see what they could do if the budget for the show was as big as some US shows.

I feel that the Hal storyline
regarding his falling off the blood wagon and withdrawal
is not being done anywhere near enough justice and this is down to the squeeze on the number of episodes. There's a lot more that could be done with Tom too.

Despite that, it's an excellent show and I'm going to be very sorry not to see it back next year. Pity.

Yeah it does feel like a lot has happened in the last episode, a sorta "oh woops, we're nearly at the end of the season, lets get to where we need really quick!"

Done and dusted. :( They really packed a lot in there. The alternate realities provided a nice change. Seeing their human side triumph rounded it off nicely.

Might be time to have a look at the US version.

Or did they? My feeling is that the origami wolf points to the dream/alternate reality winning out and them still passed out on the studio floor.

Having said that, we'll find out if it was real or not with the DVD. Cheeky Toby Whitehouse!

Never! I can't see how it'd capture the quirkiness of the British version.

one of the few shows i've watched from th epilot through to the end it lost a bit in season 3 and 4 but definitely went out on a high (apparently cut by the bbc) viewing figures were pretty low at the end mind (560k for final episode)

Does that include iPlayer views though? I only ever watch it on iPlayer. I haven't used a TV to watch a live Television show in over six months, I use catch-up services to watch everything. I know I'm not the only one out there doing this.

Yes my thoughts exactly - the devil took note of Hals advice and put them all together in their own alternate reality :)

I also thought the same, but decided on going with the happy ending
It was very convenient all of them getting their heart's desire. It was a very deliberate ??? ending, allowing us to interpret it as we see fit.

Well the official answer is out! Thanks to an extra scene on the DVD for the fifth season we now know if it was a real or a dream ending:

And in case you can't see YouTube:
It was a dream and they were trapped in a fake reality. Liked how they realised it in this scene that everything was just too perfect and stood ready to take on the fight. Reminded me a little of the final showdown that was in 'Angel'.

    Repeat bump!

BBC Three are showing the whole of Being Human bar the pilot film starting on September 3rd.

Did a rewatch in recent months.. well, as far as season 4. Still brilliant - the chemistry between Tovey, Turner and Crichlow remains excellent!
