Meadow to let - what price this year?

I have a meadow for cutting June/July (weather commiting). Given the fodder shortage - what's it worth this year per acre? It was grazed into March but fertilised a few weeks and coming on nicely.

I have a lot of interest already without even advertising it.

Why not consider selling it for same amount as other years rather than trying to profit on other farmers misfortunes?

I sold silage bales in spring 2012 for less than the cost of making them to clear the yard as there was no demand for silage. What is the problem with making a profit when there is demand for bales?

When supply is high and demand is low then the price will be low.
When demand is high and supply is low then the price will be high.
Some farmers dont seem to understand and will only want to pay the low price regardless of supply and demand.

Not sure exactly what it is worth but take as much as you can get for it. Its your money at the end of the day!

how much fertilizer did you put on it?
if only a bag of urea then around €100
but if 4 bags of cut sward then around €170?

A neighbour of mine let his land for silage for two months 115 an acre. The man renting it will fertilise it.

A fella close by let silage ground for €90. The agreement was made in early feb. I imagine there will be a lot of demand for ground this year.
