Rent and expired lease

    Just a quick question that a can't find an answer to:

    I've been renting a house for 2.5 years. Lease expired after a year and I requested a renewal which I never got around to signing. That expired Jan 2013.

    If I want to move now, what's the notice period? Is it still 56 days even though I don't technically have a lease?
