Israel to recruit students to fight battles on the internet. So, it's official, then.

Those with foreign language skills who receive these "scholarships" would not identify themselves as being in the pay of the government. Instead, Israel's Ha'aretz newspaper says, the plan is to make the programme appear to be based on the activity of politically-neutral students, with the Prime Minister's Office also hoping to recruit from pro-Israel student groups from around the world.

According to the conspiracy theory forum 95% of us are shills for someone or other.

They're the only real people on here at all.

They always do this. They hold seminars in Israel to teaching people how to debate and also write bad reviews for books they don't like, mass downvote things on reddit. They have a call to arms twitter too to highlight any discussions they feel need input. Look out for users who only partake in Israel related discussions and New accounts that seem well written and very faux-centrist sounding.

look up the Hasbara handbook too. You'll see every trick the real paid shills use. The rabid anti Islam types are not these people.

There is a sort industry in this stuff in Northern California.

There are companies who have several employees and their entire job is to post on various messageboards, blogs, newspaper comment sections of news sites etc.

Here's a pretty good article on it.

...and despite all the noise, roaring and shouting, they still won't have a single decent case between them.

Only 1000 homes this time? Looks like they're finally refining those peacemaking skills.

They occupied that land to build the peace talks centre!

This sort of thing has been going on for a while with stuff like giyus and what not, and looks like there getting an official government version of it.

Canada did it, or intended to, in 2010
    http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2010/05/23/social-media-government-monitoring.html
The government is looking for ways to monitor online chatter about political issues and correct what it perceives as misinformation.

It'd be unlikely if not the US govt did something similar, we already know they're spying on everything we say/do.
