Got some of this last week from a crowd in Ireland, so must be allowed here now. Had to try it after listening to Joe Rogan for so long. It's definitely working.

Wouldn't bother with this. 5HTP and Noopept will give you better results.

    Tried it?

Has alpha brain been banned in Ireland? Gaba too?

Jesus Christ, I took Gaba once. Wasn't sleeping, it was meant to help. I hovered in between consciousness and time travel for the whole night and was convinced the Service Support Manager from work was living in my pillow.

    Not even once.

Been looking into nootropics a good bit lately and would be interested to see how you get on. They're not big at all over here but it's a fairly big market over in the US. If you get any stomach discomfort by the way it could be down to the tyrosine, I've had a few people complain about it to me before.

    Keep us posted,
    Oisín

yes i can attest to this, 2grams of tyrosine and its a Usain Bolt dash to the potty. 1 gram is A-OK though.

So, what you're saying is 2 gms would be good for sprint training?! Must give it a try.

Yes. That's why I recommended not trying it.

Not sure about noopept, but 5-HTP is restricted to prescription only here.

Everyone's different, so all I can say is the Alpha Brain most definitely works for me, although I've been swallowing 3 rather than 2.

It's made his brain a little bit beta.

Just ordered some Alpha Brain there to see if it works. Gonna try it for a month and check it out. I can't even imagine what the effects will be like if they work. I'm just hoping I ain't getting chased around by unicorns in my dreams!

I've found myself having difficulty concentrating for the last six months or so. The brain fog has now cleared and my ability to stay with a thought and access my vocabulary has gotten noticeably better. Words are just flowing for me now, in conversation and on paper.

Was going to order from Amazon but went for powerful.ie instead. I think they're the official outlet for Ireland?

It's incredibly expensive. ~€60 for a 30 day supply (2 tabs a day). Any reasonably priced alternatives? I'd love to try something like it.

Alpha Brain is over priced for what it is. The ingredients can be gotten much cheaper. This is what i would recommend.

    Option 1
Clean diet (perhaps there is food groups that could be trial eliminated) , exercise and good sleep

    Option 2
    you could research stuff like

    Alpha GPC
    Bacopa
    Vinpocetine
    Ginkgo
    Phosphatidylserine
    Citicoline

First two I found very good during periods when trying studing for exams and when in the conceptualisation phase of projects.

all available on iherb.com and of course you can use my discount code GIM721

    Option 3
Is go down the route of the varios Racetams out there such as pramiracetam, oxiracetam, and aniracetam. These are not available on iherb or in Ireland but can be found from safe sources on the net.

But this should only be done after going very good research.

The thing with nootropics is that they're only really noticeable if you actually use a lot of mental energy throughout the day anyway. ie: maths, recall, problem solving, creative thought etc. They're not going to turn you into Einstein over night, but they'll definitely help with focus and recall. You could liken it to those taking creatine or protein while just sitting on their arse, expecting to get jacked without actually doing any training.:pac:

I used to do nearly 60 hour weeks sometimes in work and then have college work on top of that. I found nootropics excellent for helping study and with keeping a clearer head.

If you're looking for a similar effect to Alpha Brain, I'd suggest 200mcg L-Huperzine A taken with 500mg Choline & Inositol taken ED. It's probably the most basic and effective dosage for those who don't want to spend money on Noopept / other racetams or stuff like L-Tyrosine, 5-HTP etc. I recommend this as it's generally a good dose for those new to nootropics.

Obviously this doesn't have the B6 in Alpha Brain, but if you take a multivitamin like Animal Pak or similar anyway, you should be grand.

Oh and obviously your diet is also very important, particularly your fat intake (Udos oil ftw)

Cheers for the tips. I'll look into them.

I suppose the question I'm asking is whether or not Alpha Brain is the best product on the market? In my experience, the most aggressively marketed product is generally no superior, and oftentimes inferior, to cheaper, generic alternatives — Maximuscle vs. The Protein Works, and so on, for example. Is Alpha Brain superior to others? or to, say, the "ingredients" you've listed above?
Oh and obviously your diet is also very important, particularly your fat intake (Udos oil ftw)

Must pick up a bottle of Udos. Been meaning to for a while. My diet is very good, or at least I'd consider it very good. Lots of fats: plenty of eggs, avocados, coconut oil, and omega-rich foods such as salmon and flaxseed (as well as an omega-3 supplement).

Your comparison to Maximuscle Vs The Protein Works is appropriate, definitely. I'm not sure of the quality (haven't done tests), but like with the protein blends etc from big supplement companies, you can get the ingredients (and sometimes higher quality ingredients) elsewhere at a cheaper price.
So I can't exactly say if it's superior to others in that respect as I haven't tried nootropic blends by others, even though I have 'stacked' nootropics. But I would definitely say you can get most if not all of the ingredients in Alpha Brain for cheaper. AFAIK Joe Rogan even says so on his podcast :)

Got mine same place. And some shroom tech sport which I've been taking while playing 5 a side and doing weights. Funny stuff, you only notice it when you haven't taken it!

Interested in buying this but the price is making me apprehensive.

Looking for a good nootropic to take. Acetyl l-carnitine seems to be my best bet, although I would like a good mixed batch of stuff similar to Alpha brain.

Viridian cognitive complex and Higher Nature brain nutrients seem to be a similar, cheaper option to Alpha Brain, but lacking the strong stuff like Huperzine A and bacopa monnieria.

as for noopept, this is a smart drug rather than a supplement yes? I originally wanted to get modafinil, but read that it was being seized when imported into Ireland. Would the same thing not happen with noopept?

Have to say that this stuff is helping with my brain-fog and memory. I'm taking 2 with one Ciltep each morning. Getting them a fair bit cheaper as this place does free postage in Ireland and has the odd coupon code. www.powerful.ie  AND they've been throwing me a load of free stuff, now I think about it.

It is hilarious that you started a thread before admitting to being an Internet shill

Actually it isn't! It is on a special LICENSE, which means that you don't need a prescription but only a very limited group of companies can sell it in R.o.I.! My pharmacist could only find TWO- one company sells tinctures only and only to retailers; a bottle cost me 17Euros! Th other company charged 70EUROS, yes SEVENTY EUROS..... for the grand total of 60 CAPSULES!!!!! This is GROSS profiteering and greed because one could go up to the North and buy 60 capsules for £20 in Holland and Barrett or,if one lived in the UK,buy them off iHerb, com for less than 10Euros and get them sent ALL the way from America for less than 4Euros!
But they are NOT prescription medicines and a script from your doctor is only a waste of time and money, especially as they probably would either refuse because they don't believe in natural remedies or because they can't prescribe it! It's cheaper to save up,go up to the North and make a day of it! All the best!
