The other channels are on a different frequency, yes.

Can you post the UHF channel no. you receive the Freeview versions of the Irish channels on, & also for the few Saorview you get?

    618.000 MHZ, LCN 52

    As for Saorview

    801 RTE1HD
    802 NO NAME HD
    803 NO NAME
    804 NO NAME HD
    805 NO NAME
    806 RTE JUNIOR
    807 RTE ONE +1
    808 - 824 NO NAME

    Seems Mux 1 is missing

I should add frequency 754.000 MHZ (MUX2)is giving signal of 70% quality of 98% while RTE on freeview is breaking up and barely working.

618 mHz is Black Mountain alright (near Divis: Divis doesn't actually transmit these services). 754 mHz is Clermont Carn mux. 2, so you must be in eastern NI?

It's more than likely just the usual story of 1 mux. being present at just sufficient signal quality to bring it over the decoding threshold, with the other not quite making it. Probably could be improved with attention to the aerial system (cables, connections, any amplifiers, splitters).

Look at the signal, The Clermont mux is booming while Divis struggles.

If Clermont is 'booming', then mux.1 should be there too, unless there is something causing interference on UHF ch.52 (722 mHz), say if the aerial was routed through a Sky box outputting on this or a nearby frequency. Any co-channel TV transmitters in NI, transmit both ch. 52 & ch. 56.

I wouldn't make any definitive judgement based on simple receiver signal readouts like that. Most I've seen, anything below 100% quality means things are getting dodgy.
