    That place looks interesting.

"Florida Institute of Technology" sounds respectable.

heard very good things about this bunch - http://www.flyeft.com/

but please do pay attention to exchange rates, USD is at it's most expensive at the moment, I mean we're talking some 15-20% up since last year, making some Spanish/French schools suddenly look attractive

Does it have to be the US? Reason I ask is because the best value training seems to be in Poland at the moment. http://www.flyinpoland.com is worth a look, it's Bartolini Air and the reviews seem to be very positive. CPL/MEIR for €15,500. It practically half the cost of most other European schools. I have no connection to them, just can't believe the value Thats to be had there.

    Ummm, why so cheap?

What do you want the licence for? If you intention is to fly in Ireland, then you might be better off looking at European schools especially with the present exchange rate.

I would also suggest that you get a class 1 medical done before spending money on training.

From what I understand there is no VAT on training in Poland, therein lies the huge cost saving. I think fuel is VAT free also but i stand to be corrected on that one.

Much of it will be sim-based, not all in the aircraft. The Rotax engines on the Tecnam also run on mogas, much cheaper than Avgas

Sim time will be much the same as all the other schools Id say.

"Training includes a week long IR theory course, 30 hours actual flighttime on the Garmin 950 equipped Multi Engine Tecnam P2006T, 35 hours of FNPT2 simulator training by active airline pilots, 15 hours CPL training on the Tecnam P2002, all instruction, briefings, landing and approach fees and aircraft rental for the combined MEP (L) + ME/IR + CPL flighttest. The courses take approximately 8 weeks and starts every first week of the mont

    The course includes:

-IR + CPL theory 40 hours
    -MEP (L) theory
    -30 hours training Tecnam P2006T
    -15 hours training Tecnam P2002
    -35 hours FNPT2 simulator training
    -briefings, materials, instruction, landing fees
-aircraft rental for MEP (L) + ME/IR + CPL test"

Or can be done on the seneca for €20,750.

I hope to go there next year to do my CPL/MEIR, prices like that are hard to ignore, and the reviews and opinions about them seem to be universally excellent.

Still seems very cheap to me. Even if these prices are genuine I'd still be factoring a fairly high percentage for contingency to cover weather delays (Its Poland and they get a lot of snow and fog etc!) , extra instruction needed etc. Personally I'd budget around 30% more.

At 15.5k I'd almost be tempted to get the eyes lasered in to submission and back on track....
