    It is. What I think you are saying is you can't articulate yourself without breaking the rules on being abusive. That's a failing on your part, not on the part of Boards.

    Whenever a poster replies to a post saying "I call bull**** on that" or "not true" they have simply lost the argument .......... what they're really saying is "you have just said something that I cannot refute so therefore I'll resort to just saying it's a lie" ......... an idiot's get-out-of-jail card if you will. :)

    So report my posts if you are so upset. I never called you a liar. I thought my post was pretty clear. I don't believe you are as close to members as you think you are. That's not calling you a liar, I'm saying you're in the dark and don't realise it.

    You said "the Guards", which if i'm not mistaken gives the impression that you're referring to all Gardaí. "Some" would have been more appropriate if you didn't intend to mean "all" Gardaí.

    And anyone can come on here and claim they're "in the know", or have "friends and relatives who are Gardaí". Just like anyone can come in here and claim that every single Garda they know is infallible. Lack of evidence is not evidence. Hearsay is not evidence. If you're privy to information of corruption, then why not do your duty as a citizen and report these matters to GSOC, make a statement and be willing to follow it up and give evidence in court?

    As to doing my "duty as a citizen" ......... how do you know I haven't?
    Maybe I have and found it to be a useless exercise .......... or maybe I haven't because I'm not offended or effected personally by low-level corruption ........ but I am aware that it does happen which was the point I was making.

    I don't think its fair to "tar them all!" with the same brush but what happens when the the integrity of the gardai is at stake? Do gardai think twice when it comes to one of their own?

    I've come across some wonderful people in my time that are members of the guards and I have come across some proper arrogant egotistical narcissistic folk. But this is true for all walks of life.

    I believe this young man will no longer be a guard in the future, headlines are not what they need at the moment.

    the poster didn't say "all gards" . the poster says it happened and it still does and your deluded if you believe otherwise.
