I've not been to a doctor in at least 15 years, last time I tried to make an appointment none could see me for a week, I went with Dr Youtube and was sorted, bad I know.

After 15 years another week was not going to 'kill" you.

He's afraid of Kennyitus. Known to repeat itself without notice...very contagious

It'll be your loss - Francis Brennan will be back regaling us all with tales of dinner forks, or some other nonsense.

The seating arrangements, such a very tired old setup, Ryan needs to be behind his control desk (prop) with his cue cards (props), on his high chair, looking down on all his guests.

I know it's for a different thread, but surgeries have been cancelled since well before Christmas.Elective orthopaedic wards closed in Hospitals and reopened as medical and hideaway wards for patients on trolleys, moving them from Emergency Departments to cook the numbers on trollies figures

Twice. That night in Cark and lately at Shane's 60th. Dull enough.

Yeah, he doesn't across as the life and soul of the party alright. Love him though. Himself, Shane and Tom Waits are my musical icons.

Years back I saw the Trinity Orchestra perform Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon It was some concert, absolutely pitch perfect from start to finish. The vocalists, musicians and orchestra behind them all absolutely nailed it. It wasn't until last year I realised that a 21 year old Andrew Byrne was the lead singer of the show. His performance the standout of the night

    Great watching

Found that video a while ago - one of those things I wished I'd known about before it happened - even though it's not Floyd themselves, you can't go too far wrong hearing it in a cathedral with an orchestra :D

I was going to post this on the BBC4 thread but I know the same heads are on here too.

I discovered this yesterday. It's a sound desk recording from a very early Pogues gig in London in 1983. I had it on cassette for years but this is much better quality. Can be streamed or downloaded in different formats. Enjoy.

Jesus Joe, you're coming out with some crackers tonight. Where's that Tom Waits tribute from?

It's the booklet that came with a box set. Not my pic. I think it's from "Just look them straight in the eye...." Either that or an anniversary edition of Rum Sod.

In the mid 90s Shane MacGowan, Nick Cave and some others who escape me did a charity gig in the City hall in CARK. The backstage area backed into the Council/Borough chamber which resembled a courtroom. After copious amounts of certain stuff we set up a court hearing. The result was, Judge Shane MacGowan with the help of Sligo Joe SC succeeded in convicting Simon Carmody of crimes against music and sentenced him to death by a good kicking. The f*cker escaped and hasn't been seen since, The bench warrant still stands.

Jaysus, the things we got up to when we were young.

    Youngish, surely?

Those two innocent soldiers minding their own business were just attacked by a nationalist mob lol. If you look at the video on reeling in the years, also rte, you can see with your own eyes the 2 Brits deliberately driving into the crowd.

Whatever they were or weren’t doing there, as a human to not be shaken to the core at what happened to them would be so inhuman.

Mob rule took over. Many normal every day people can become enraged and savage like in certain circumstances..

I was old enough to witness this. Still leaves a scarring memory. And I am sure that the people who carried out the attack, probably never forget, and had they the time back would have acted differently...

Awful sight was those two men knowing that their lives were to end...the terror and fear must have been burning...

I don’t blame the crowd. After all, they were also in some fear at the beginning, due to what happened days earlier..

So you think 2 corporals from the British Army decided to have a drive thru at an IRA funeral ? Oh no wait ! They were told to do it by their superiors. An inspiration for future truck driving terrorists.

    You absolute idiot.
