Do you like the New boards

Not looking good and where are my forums gone. I'll come back in another week and check again to see if any improvements. The key thing about the old site was that it was quick and really easy to use. I can see a lot of posters not bothering any more if this does not get more user friendly soon.

Is it just my computer or is everything on the desktop version off centre? There's nearly twice as much blank space on the right side as the left.

No offence taken., but many like me who are even fairly computer savvy to be fair don't want a tutorial so Boards can justify the cost the IT guys must have spent on this disaster, they just won't be back.

yes I had but there seems to be no option now to subscribe to the threads you want notifications for, it's now all or nothing.

So much wrong, I don't know where to start. Ultimately, most has been already said, but it really gives the impression that this is a half-baked idea from an amateur/graduate who has no professional experience. Clearly, no thought given to the UX, Change Management, Testing, User Feedback, Deployment, Migration etc. I am at a loss for words when trying to imagine what the boards team were thinking when they did this. While this won't "kill" boards, I fear, given boards decline in recent years, this will expedite that decline.

Just to be clear, this is not about it being "different", I'm perfectly happy with that. It's just that it is only half-baked, and the disastrous deployment only highlights the abilities of the team behind this and leaves little confidence that it will ever become "fully-baked".

Based on the touch site I find it almost unusable, I'm afraid. Without being melodramatic, I'd say I'll be giving up on the site

It's basically impossible to follow in the way I always used to. I'm having to look for specific threads, rather than being able to discover new ones

- the biggest thing is no followed forums, that's how I always navigated

- no way to see if a thread has updated, needs last updated user and time as before

- the stickied threads need to be formatted differently so you can scroll past them easily

- I can see people discussing the value of finding users posts, I think it's very useful, but finding my own is essential

Hopefully they're fairly easy fixes, they'd make a massive difference to my use of the site

yes but you can't go directly from the Profile page to that Preferences page.

I got promoted to level 3 too.... What does that actually mean?

Maybe I'll get less hassle from a certain mod, furtively looks over his shoulder....
